Crucible should have standardized loadouts. Then it would be skill-based.

Playing rumble now and number one has two God rolled guns. Hand laid stick malok and matador God rolled. How the fck do people get so lucky?
-
And pizza would be better if the only kind was thin crust pepperoni, that way we could tell which restaurant serves the best.
-
If people know what they like? Certain stuff is more effective. Why should one person have a distinct advantage because of luck based loot? Then luck based perks given on luck based drops?

Restaurants don't have to serve only thin crust pepperoni pizza for people to figure out which restaurant's pizza they prefer. Your argument would have more weight if Crucible weren't a competition in which some people have been given an unfair advantage. Besides, what we have now IS just thin crust pepperoni pizza. If you really wanted to have all options, regular matches would have standardized loadouts, but people could take their PvE gear into special matches that don't count towards anything.

Oh, thanks for setting me straight...

You're very welcome.

Bump ^^^ Or access to the same weapons . Now there is private lobbies it makes testing and comparing stuff super easy. It's easy to spot what weapons and perks become more viable.

By standardized loadouts, I mean that every player would be selecting from the same armor sets and would have his choice of hand cannon, scout rifle, pulse rifle, or auto rifle for primary, his choice for one of each type of special, and his choice for one of each type of heavy. If it were done right, the weapon and armor choices would be changed frequently. There could be matches with nothing but low level gear without perks. There could be matches with lots of exotic gear available. There could be a number of variations that would help keep PvP fresh.

That would be great if it were a separate lobby. Like a mix and match playlist with the specific sets you mentioned. I feel it's unfair if certain good players get lucky and get an even greater advantage over others because of luck based drops. RNG is -blam!-ing terrible and I'm unlucky as fck with it :(

I've often pointed out that the current system is weighted to give an extra advantage to the best players. You know, the ones who need it the least. Right or wrong, the current way of doing things makes it look less like a test of skill and more of a contest between who has the greater vault contents.
