How Destiny, Bungie, and LFG indirectly changed my life

I started as a Year 2 player. I picked up the Taken King collection when it came out, and loved every minute of it. I mostly played by myself though, I didn't have any friends who were into it. When I tried King's Fall for the first time, I went through DestinyLFG for it. I got invited, and had a lot of fun (though it was hard, I think I was underleveled!) But it was in this LFG group that I met a certain someone, someone who would have a big impact on my life... She's a Year 1 player, so she had a leg up on me. I've always been in a sort of shell, not really being comfortable enough to open up with people, so I added her, she added me, and we didn't really talk for a few months after that. Last April though, I gave it a shot. I remembered that she was really nice, a bit quiet, like me, softspoken, but nice. I got back into Destiny, and asked if I could join her, and she said yes, much to my chagrin. After that, we really seemed to hit it off, Destiny helped me find something to bond with someone over, it let me meet someone who made me feel comfortable opening up. Whenever I was down, all I had to do was hop on Destiny with her, and a crummy day suddenly became the best day. We talked so much after that, I learned more about her. We got along really, really well, and have been, up to today... Today, I was told that she was cutting me off from her life, without so much an explanation as to why, or even a chance to talk with me about it. Naturally, I'm really, really broken over it. I don't think she'll ever read this, I don't think she browses the forums, but if she ever sees this, you know who you are. Thanks to Destiny, Bungie, and the amazing team at LFG, I got to meet an exceptionally unique person who changed me for the better. Even if you suddenly feel the need to go our own ways, I will never forget you, and never forget how lucky I was to meet you in this game, ironically enough, called Destiny. I just wanted to share my story with everyone. I've never posted on the forums before. I'm not sure if I can even bear to play Destiny anymore, what with all the memories I have of this game with her... But thank you, Bungie. Because of you, I got to meet a lifechanging friend who, even if I'll never understand why she's left, I will always consider a close friend... Your work is an example of how games can be more than "just" games, they can change lives...
