Ok Bungie, it's been almost half a year since the ammo reserve nerf.

Can we have our ammo reserves back now? We get it, you nerfed the special ammo reserves as an attempt to subdue the special weapon meta in the crucible. In hindsight after almost six months, however, I think it is pretty obvious this experiment did absolutely nothing to the special meta in PvP. You ended up only upsetting your PvE player base as a result. We had to sit idly by and accept that our guardians were made weaker because of PvP balancing reasons. Yes, we adapted, but once again our fun factor in PvE was greatly damaged by a PvP-based decision. As stated, you tried to change up the PvP special meta, but it just didn't work. Special weapons are still ruling the Crucible and will continue to do so unless you stop nerfing and start buffing primary weapons. All the while, the PvE player base has to accept all the negative consequences of these nerfs, rarely gaining anything positive. So, again: Can we have our ammo reserves back now? The nerf was introduced to stifle the special ammo meta, but after six months it's obvious that it didn't work. Therefor I see no reason to not give us our ammo back. Your PvE player base would be infinitely grateful, as the Quality of Life would improve immensely.

  • And it's still un-noticeable unless you only use Special or Heavy ammo and never use a primary.

  • Weird. This post has yet to receive any comment from Bungie. But the post asking for the Vanguard to sell Wormspore got a comment from Cozmo. Weird. It's almost like Bungie doesn't give a shit about this issue. Weird.

      Nerfing ammo was one of their worst decisions ever. Not only is it bullshit in PvE, anyone who played PvP and vanilla knows that if anything the reliance on special weapons in PvP increased after the nerf. Now with Supremacy, all the limited ammo does is create completely unbalanced matches if one team can get to the crates. It's a bad joke and needs fixed.

          The problem with your logic is you believed Bungie. Bungie did not nerf ammo for PVP. Oh... they claimed that's why, but believe me, the motivation was to continue to lengthen PVE encounters. No one I know would say Destiny is "hard", they'd say it's grindy or tedious, but not really that hard. So, Bungie thinks, "Lets up the difficulty... but how do we do that while still being lazy? Oh! Let's artificially increase difficulty, let's take away stuff!" So, in the end, we see Bungie's vision for Destiny with nerfs instead of buffs, less ammo instead of more, longer cooldowns to supers, no more ice breaker, nerfs to subclasses, nerfs to everything. This is going to sound like an innuendo but follow me for a second: [b]Longer does not mean harder, it just means it's more tedious.[/b] Elemental primaries is a perfect example. This is a philosophical issue at its core, does the Destiny player base think Destiny is a [b]hard[/b] game, or do they measure Destiny's "Difficulty" by the [u]amount of time[/u] it takes to complete an activity? The ammo nerf is symptomatic of a more systemic issue: Bungie is lazy and greedy. They do not want to put the time, money, and creativity into making Destiny 1 better. True story.

            I think they got the message after so long of players crying and whining for their ammo capacity back. So maybe give it a rest? After all, it's not like it made the game unplayable. Ammo drops more often after all... Break out a fusion rifle if the ammo reserve hit upsets you so much. They effectively got a buff after all.

          • Special weapons will rule PvP no questions asked until primaries are buffed. That is the only way to fix the "special weapon meta", and this reserve nerf was one of the stupidest decisions they've made since the game has been out, fix it

              • I have been saving videos I've made of running all kinds of various Pve activities and running out of ammo. I'm a hand cannon user with lots of HC kills, but you know how often I run out of bullets? It's enough that I have multiple clips from everything from patrol to raids, from dregs to end bosses. I have quite a collection of clips now. I started recording the clips not just because I ran out of primary ammo, but to show how accurate I am with my shots and that I'm very careful in my consumption however, still manage to have 00's in my clips and run around with secondary (if I have ammo) until I can get a brick of primary to keep me pushing forward.

                • Now that 31 impact snipers have their 6.95% damage reduction, just give them more ammo.

                • Lately I've been running out of ammo while trying to eliminate Zealot Taken Bosses on patrol. Just can't kill them in the time frame anymore because I run out of all ammo. Then I sit there 30 seconds until I get some ammo gifted to me and then continue to run out again and about then times up!!!

                  • If they want to fix special they should remove starting ammo and make it so you get less shots per brick in pvp and make special not spawn as much.

                  • I think we have been hoodwinked again. As much as they said it would curb sniping and shotgun use it did not. I believe it was to promote the use of side arms which refill ammo when you spawn. A lot of players have switched to the unpopular weapon class that seemed more of a gimmick than an actual useful tool. But with the buff it's actually viable and players have become good with it and some have a very short TTK and great for CQC maps and the new mode. Plus with the latest sniper nerf I think it's safe to bring back the full secondary ammo capacity.
