• Then that stops being a bungee problem and starts being an isp problem. If media com caching bad data or screwing with the transmission then that's on them

  • Can you connect to anything else on the net, are you getting the speeds you pay for?

I'm not having g the problem. I'm fine But I HAVE been in situations in the past where my old isp would not connect to some stuff fine while other ISPs would (including my cellphone) In that case it was an isp issue. They eventually acknowledged it. But it took a while. Bungee is far from a great developer. But in this case it sounds like the isp. It might help more to start flooding media com support with "wtf" posts and calls

  • Except in this case, those that are having this issue can connect to anything else, except Destiny and at the speeds we pay for. They are just an Internet service provider. If the service is provided, they're free and clear. They don't control the protocols for each individual server. Bungie programmed something into the game that's not syncing with Mediacom service. Now Mediacom could very well have changed their protocols or hardware and created this issue but it's Bungie responsibility to program it to be accepted. I'm thinking Mediacom and Bungie are sitting down now trying to hash this out, but I am disappointed it's taking so long. Dozens if not hundreds are having this problem, maybe more, and we all experience the same exact thing, at the same point, same file size and everything. Each of us has tried dozens or hundreds of times and it's exactly the same every time. It's not an intermittent problem and we have already identified the common denominator as the ISP. In troubleshooting, it can't get any better or easier than that... Lol

And the same thing when it happened to me. Got full speed access to everywhere else except a handful of sites. It took forever before Comcast acknowledged it. Your analogy doesn't mean that media com isn't to blame. ISPs like to sometimes cache data to make life easier for them. So instead of getting the original data from the source you're getting a copy. If said copy is bad you're screwed. Whatever. I'm out. I have a feeling you know this already since you're using poor logic to make your case. The common denominator is media com... So it's bungee's fault?! Bungee has a lot of recent mistakes. So I'm not saying theyre catching a lot of flack without reason. But this doesn't sound like them. And your logic is pretty silly

  • Well you can't possibly blame the ISP because they don't program anything, just provide service. Not saying Mediacom is not at fault, but they sure as heck can't do anything about it either. Sony officially filed suit to Bungie to fix it. Legally and practically, Bungie is now responsible. Even if they're not at fault, they have been made responsible for it getting fixed. If you think I'm not understanding you, please look to see if you're communicating your point properly. I'm a pretty clever guy and can usually understand most things better than most...

  • Light!! Yeah I'm just making stuff up here... Tell you what, since you're accusing me of lying, why don't you present the proof that I'm wrong. Go find who Sony has filed suit against and post that. I'm busy trying to fix a serious problem, not here to prove you wrong. I know I'm right. I have been back and forth with engineers and tech support for 3 different companies for 3 days now, but hold on, some random yahoo on some pretty base and commoner forums has all the answers... You think I'm the only one working to solve this? You're out of your league dude and I'd prefer to not speak with you again. Oh and next time, have to courage to call someone a liar to their face. I'm not so base and common to throw around accusations like that lightly. But then again, I do have style 😎 Something you lack in this conversation. See ya coward!
coward!
Screams the LYING Keyboard Warrior. I googled it. There's no lawsuit like what you're describing. Not surprising though. edit: Rise of Iron is fun as heck.

  • Now who's lying? You're 2 second Google search doesn't amount to 3 days talking with engineers and such. You came in here and started this, now you can't finish it. I called you a coward because you called me a liar while hiding behind a screen. That's exactly what you are, if you can't handle it, make better choices. You came in here and called me a liar, first thing. You don't have a leg to stand on, so get to rolling your ass on outta here. Really dude, you got nothing better to do than call me a liar in a forum first post and then turn around in the very next post and claim you were here to help? Wow!! You are a very special kind of screwed up. Now, tell me again, where is the help? Someone willing to help would ask questions first, not start throwing blame around. What's the matter? Did daddy not love you enough? You mad because Santa treated you unfairly and didn't bring you a new bike this year? You started this, now I'm finishing it. Peace!

  • Like I said. I'm out. Your logic is faulty and I think you know that. So at this point you're just trying to get people even more agitated than they are. I explicitly covered the cached data scenario. And yes, ISPs have injected and cached stuff in the past. So long and thanks for all the fish. Enjoy your hobby of causing grief on the internet. Muted
