simple enough : the rng of 3oC, combined with the "cool down", FURTHER combined with "fair use" confusion, leads me to want this damn thing changed up a little bit A) increase the price to buy 3oC to 10 Strange Coins B) decrease the amount of 3oC you get from 5 to 1 C) when using 3oC, you *ALWAYS* get an exotic D) double the cool-down period of 3oC that is all, let me know what you think buy UPVOTING (regardless of opinion) and selecting a poll result

  • That would be cool but that's not going to happen. Because currently it's pretty much that right now. Because you get one exotic per 20 three of on average right now. 3 weeks ago I would get one exotic per using 10 three of coins on average. And sometimes it was less than that

      I know this is my second bite at the cheery with this subject but I've just been out on patrol trying to farm Taken bosses for exotic engram (with no success) and thinking about the entire reward system in Destiny and really it needs to be looked at. How many times have you played in pvp and been top score in your team, or up in the top of the ranks and got nothing, or just a junk blue item at the end of the match, and the guy on the bottom of the list (that must have spent most of the game dead to get such a low K:D ratio) gets a legendary weapon that you've played hundreds of matches and never got? Also as I've just now re-experienced twice now (yes 3oC is still working); how many times have you been a major contributor to taking down a boss and your 3oC gets you nothing yet some random that rocked up at the last second and gets a few shots into the boss before he finally dies gets and exotic engram? In these cases I'm not saying people that don't do well at pvp should get nothing or people who only contribute a little to taking down a boss should also get nothing. I think there should be a multiplier that the better you do in a pvp match the better the chance you have at getting a good reward. Also with a boss fight, the more you contribute to taking down the boss, the better your chance of getting a exotic engram with your 3oC. The problem is I imagine for Bungie that would be far more difficult to do than simply having a RNG decide. An RNG system just seems like lazy programming and it is not fair. It really does leave a bitter taste in your mouth when you try over and over again and work hard to get a good reward and get nothing or just trash items, and then you see other players you know contributed less get great rewards. Anyway I'll get of my soap-box now.

    • I'm wondering if 3oC are even working atm or have they currently disabled or nerfed them to hell because of all the players getting the Trespasser before RoI commences. I was getting far better drop rates of exotic engrams prior to the last patch than I am currently getting (anything was better than the current none). You see these videos on YouTube of people suggesting how to prepare for RoI and their vaults and characters are almost full of nothing but exotic engrams, where are they getting that many from? is there a special version of 3oC (that actually work at a reasonable rate) that only these YouTubers get? Even legendary engram drop rates seem to be near zero, but lucky for us it is raining trash uncommon ones because they are so useful, not.

    • Every consecutive 3oC used if u didnt get an exotic should be + 5% chance to get a exotic. And not like it is now. 5% chance to get an exotic. And if u didnt get one. The next use is still 5%.

      I don't think Exotics should ever be left up to rng. They should all have questlines, cutscenes, and stories surrounding them; you'd acquire and work for them. Three of Coins should increase the rate at which legendary, exotic shards, and strike specific loot drop. It could also increase the chance and amount of motes and strange coins you'd get. Xur could sell trinkets that sorta temporarily boost gameplay, aesthetic appeal and giving good deals on ammo types. I still say he should sell ammo type consumables to put on your weapons instead of us even having elements on our weapons. Because what do the elements really do? They just take down a shield of their respective color faster, which means there's no need for elements on weapons. They could always adjust the shield and health of pve enemies to compensate. Now, if the elements had special, secondary effects, that'd be something, but that's not really the case here.

          Exotics should drop randomly from bosses, like the chances are for getting an exclussive item (strikes) three of coins should increase that chance of exotics to drop. ex if the chances for a boss to randomly drop an exotic would be 10% chance out of every game you play (Strikes, Raids, PoE) then using a 3oC should increase that 10% chance by 10%. and they should STACK! if i use 4 Three of Coins, i would have 50% chance for a exotic drop everytime i kill a boss, (NO COOLDOWNS!!!!!) spending 4 coins is already alot of coins, and which would grant you 2 exotics every 8 coins. by a chance of 50% ofc, instead of farming for hours you could get them now and then, but in exhange you will be spending more of your coins. seems fair to me.
