I'm assuming over the course of the next few days, the website will be slowly updated, showing blips where people are infected and logged in to Destiny.

That's an interesting theory, other Guardian's looking in to the site itself and are saying the main Map image is in place of a video. So it could potentially be something where SIVA blips show up in and start a live feed of some kind according to what happens in game to players?
