Yes three of coins still work I popped one before each mayhem crucible match today and I got:
- Bad JuJu
-Trespasser
-The Last Word
-Suros Regime
-Zhalo Supercell
-Patience and Time
I got these all today an exotic dropped about once every 2 to 3 matches.

You're definitely full of crap. They've never dropped that frequent. Especially in Crucible matches where they drop least often. Best it'll take 6 to 10 Crucible matches using a three of coins to get one exotic engram and that was 3 weeks ago. Now I bet it takes twice that.
