Destiny won't connect.

I purchased Destiny: The Collection around about 4:30 yesterday afternoon. After downloading it once and experiencing no problems during the download, I tried to play the game, but to no avail. It gets stuck on the loading screen right after the title screen and the icon in the bottom right corner just reads "connecting" until my Xbox One shuts off. When I turn everything back on, it says that I've been signed out due to no activity. So I uninstalled/re-installed. Same deal. I've checked all of my network connections, both wired and wireless, and everything is fine. I can play other games online (Overwatch, Rocket League to name a few) but Destiny is the only game giving me problems at the moment. What do I need to do to get this issue resolved?
