please, please UPVOTE this as much as possible, don't mean to beg, but this needs to be seen, doesn't even matter about the bounties anymore, it is WRONG to LIE to your fanbase

one of the biggest topics of this patch are all the missing iron banner bounties that have been removed from the game unannounced
many pro-bungie players have stated that we deserve to lose these bounties due to us trying to "cheat" the system, but a few things first
a) trials bounties that offer the same rewards are still active in the game
b) there was NOT an article saying we would lose them
c) game informer LIVE FEED shows scott taylor and chris barret saying they would remain in the game, as a fan asked them if they would
others of us are absolutely furious after losing hundreds of marks and thousands of xp and rep, so i went and found video proof after seeing a lot of the other posts (including mine) already being dismissed in the forums
TL;DR
this is no longer about us cheesing rise of iron marks and experience, it is about bungie lying to us about the bounties staying, dismissing the THOUSANDS of upvotes on posts across the board for Iron Banner bounties, and the fact that just last week they said live on air with game informer that the bounties would be remaining after a fan asked them during the interview

It's like this. We were told we would have. We were not told I'm taking it away. Yes I agreed to terms. Yes I like the game. They were bounties I earned to use at my will. To cheese as some have said. No. Smart gaming. We were told to save. I still have my pitiful osiris bounties and elders and vanguard and cryptarc and gun smith. And factions ready to roll. If this is not resolved for those of us who earned them. This is the last destiny dlc or game I buy. A man's word is his bond. I believed.

I lost close to 20 bounties between characters, and I've accepted it. Move the -blam!- on and stop acting like such a broke back child.

Actually they were talking about quests in the context of the conversation not auto-completing. They never said a word about Iron Banner Bounties. Its not lying because they didn't say anything about it. They were talking about how they restructured the difference between quests and bounties. Meaning excotic bounties in year 1.

They never say "We are not removing IB bounties from the game." They DIDN'T lie you twit. The bounties that remained in game ARE STILL THERE, exactly where you left them, just like they said. The only ones removed where the IB bounties, not because they didn't want use hoarding them for marks, but because they are revamping the IB rank structure. This is officially the stupidest thread I've seen today.

They were talking about bounties that would continue to be in the game. Due to the Iron Banner overhaul in RoI those gold iron banner bounties that you kept no longer exist. This may have been something Bungie just didn't consider when implementing the update.

3 RepliesOkay... so I lost a few iron banner bounties. I don't hand them in if my character is already rank 5. So I lost a few legendary marks. Do I care? Not one bit. It's a game. I lost a few bounties. Boo hoo. I lose more marks trying to get a party crasher every time I buy a special weapons engram. I don't honestly see why so many people are so mad about this. I'm more annoyed about my 4k tv having such an awful grainy picture now...

They've lied about content in previous releases. They lied about matchmaking. They lied about not nerfing firebolt. They lied about nerfing thorn. Don't trust a damn word they say.

In all reality when every event is over all the quest and bounties should become null. Much like the challenge of elders card.

There's a big difference between blatantly lying and just making a mistake/messing up. I had 7 weeklies completed and its disappointing but not worthy of all this drama.

Dude, they do it all the time, mostly just about little things. I'd rather have them lie about stupid stuff, rather than things that actually matter.

I think you need to watch that video again and actually pay attention to what was said. They were asked if incomplete quests would be auto completed like when TTK was released. They replied that no OPEN (as in incomplete) quests or bounties would be touched. Not once did they mention completed bounties that people were saving for RoI. So, no lies here I'm afraid.

It is what it is. Having said that I am a little bummed about them taking the one bounty I was carrying along. It is a rare thing that I get top score in pvp. They took my symbol of self affirmation **sniff**
