I think someone mentioned a sniper heavy earlier. I think a rail gun would fit this definition. Reminds me of the Farsight in Perfect Dark. You could shoot through entire maps of objects with it and had a special x-ray scope. Would probably need to be limited on ammo and single shot magazine to be even somewhat balanced. Would make for an interesting gun in crucible, but not really practical.

There's a difference between a heavy sniper and a railgun. Railgun = Shoulder mounted charged projectile weapon. Heavy Sniper = Sniper that shoots larger rounds.

Well, yeah sure. I just meant in terms of category, it might be more akin to a heavy sniper type weapon. Like how the Sleeper is technically a fusion, even though it doesn't behave like 90% of the other fusions. It is not however anything like a rocket or machine gun.

Yeah I know. We could have more heavy weapons. I was talking about new weapon types though.
