I never played halo before Halo 5 so I had nothing to compare it to. Lovely logic you got there...something must be wrong with me for enjoying it. It's called an opinion, not a mental illness lol
Even if you had no Halo game to compare it to (and why are you playing the Halo 5 campaign without playing the other games? The story barely makes sense in the context of the rest of the series, I can't imagine how incoherent it would be without playing the other games), it would still be a bad story with poor gameplay. I could probably rant for 10-15 minutes straight about why Halo 5's campaign is straight up garbage, assuming I hadn't deliberately forgotten half of it already. Some things aren't worth remembering.
The multiplayer was pretty good, even if I never play it. At least there's that.
I'm well aware of how taste is subjective, but you're acting like opinions can't or shouldn't be challenged (see also: MRA's/racists/Trump supporters...).

I played it because I wasn't sure what game to play when I first got an xbox one. I knew it was the fifth in the series but I didn't really care. I had fun but it was seriously short...my only real complaint. Why do I have to explain this though? I can't just mindlessly enjoy something? You don't like other opinions obviously so I'm gonna cut this conversation short. Insulting my intelligence is unnecessary and has NOTHING to do with my enjoyment of the game. Goodbye.

It depends on the opinion. If you had said, for example, "Pop-country is the greatest genre of music of all time," I would've cringed, but I wouldn't've said anything. Taste in music is incredibly subjective. Besides, we're on a video game forum, so it wouldn't've been relevant to talk about taste in music anyway. I just watched a YouTube montage that had, in my opinion, an absolutely terrible metal song, but I'm not going to bad mouth the creator for his taste in music. Back on topic, you're the only person I know of who actually enjoyed Halo 5's story. Also, I'm not aware of any time I insulted your intelligence. I only said, in a nutshell, opinions can and sometimes should be challenged, and I gave examples of opinions I would personally challenge. But, whatever, dude. I'm glad you liked Halo 5, even if I can't figure out why. I regret wasting $60 on it, considering how much I hated the story and how little time I put into the multiplayer. Should've waited for the inevitable "Games with Gold" download... I probably came on a little strong, for that I apologize, but I have strong negative feelings towards Halo 5, especially considering my love for the rest of the series (even 4, which makes me a minority around here). So, it baffles me how someone could enjoy the game. It's like if you told me Superman 64 was your favorite game...
