In that towards me?

Depends.. You ever wonder why we're out here?
-
I don't wanna talk about it
-
Ok, I'll bite. What makes you think that the only thing that could possibly give someone purpose in life is religion?

Edited by Fabio the Senate: 8/24/2016 1:46:49 PMOh you can have purpose, I'm just pointing out that since we're all just a bunch of random atoms anyway, who when we die there's nothing to go to, just darkness, we really have nothing to live for. Nothing we do matters, although we claim it does. There is no reason to really try, because everyone dies anyway, the entire race will be eventually, and there's nothing to look forward to after. But by all means, live life here to the fullest, I'm sure it can still have purpose.

Well yeah, that's Nihilism. Nothing we do matters, we're all working towards nothing, etc.
-
That's atheism in general. The belief that there is no God/afterlife goes hand in hand with that, but feel free to prove me otherwise. It helps me learn.

Nihilism and atheism are completely different. Atheism is simply the lack of a belief in a god. Nihilism goes more into the whole "nothing we do matters, etc."
