A Dreg's Promise (Fan Fiction) Announcement.

Hello there fellow forum member, I am Shattered Mind. Some of you may remember me from a while back when I was writing my first fan fiction called: A Dreg's Promise which was a story about a Fallen Dreg who is taken into a made-up Fallen House, and forced to fight a war against House of Winter. It takes place before the events of Vanilla Destiny, and so I took some creative liberties that some people enjoyed. Anyways, I stopped writing that story, at a most inopportune time (never wrote the last chapter actually), and many of my readers urged me to continue. Against their request and to my regret, I told them that I would not be continuing the story, and that it was pretty much dead. However, that was not entirely the truth, and while I will not be finishing the story, I will be rewriting it. I will be rewriting it to make it better in terms of plotholes, story, and character development. And so, the point, finally, is that for those of you who have read my story and wanted it to continue, I will be rewriting it and I hope to post it in its entirety before the end of the year. If you're someone who has never even heard of my story, I encourage you to check it out if it's your cup of tea. If you click the highlighted words "A Dreg's Promise" above, it should take you to the Chapter Index. Also, if you are wondering why I never finished the story, and why I'm choosing to rewrite it instead of finishing it, read the spoiler below (careful, it's a wall of text):
Okay, so I decided to stop writing the story shortly after I posted the 18th chapter. However, people wanted another one, so I squeezed out one more, which in my opinion, isn't my best piece, but I digress. I decided to stop writing entirely, because I lost the motivation to write about characters who I as an author felt like I had no control over. If some of you remember, I took in community made characters and incorporated them into my story, however, in the long run, it turned out to be a mistake as I felt like I had to follow certain guidelines that I hadn't wanted just to make the story work. Along with that, I felt like I had taken the story on a different path than I had envisioned, and since I couldn't just go back an rewrite earlier chapters without throwing the whole thing off, I stuck with what I had. In the end, I'm glad with what I was able to churn out for you guys, and I thank those of you who had stuck with me all the way to the end, even through some bad cliches. Now, I'm rewriting the story to really shape what I had originally intended for my characters. I will be replacing community made characters with my own, however they will retain some of their original qualities and characteristics. Also, the story is changing up a bit too. I'm going for more of a flowing journey with Rorschach, and he's going to have a different arc than the measly dreg I made him out to be. Hopefully, the changes I make still captivate what was good about the original, and hopefully, some if not all of you will enjoy it.
So, I'll try to have my remake out before the end of the year, so just keep checking back here for updates, if you're interested. If not, then what are you still doing here, haha. Also, if you have any questions regarding anything I've typed here, just reply to this post or something, I dunno. Here's a progress point for right now. I'll update it as I work more.
August 21, 2016: 5-10% completed
