It's not you it's the connections. Destiny matchmaking has horrible server connection and if you don't connect well you won't get hit markers. Plain and simple it's the servers.

I think it's my own fault! Lag is an issue sometimes but most of the time I just forget how to play I think lol

I feel like half the games I do bad on aren't my fault at all. At the same time I feel some games I did better than I really should have. For example one game I got a 20.0 and wasn't even trying that much, just messing around and only death I got was from trying to jump over a grenade. That match it was like there bullets weren't doing normal damage. It's the same a lot if times the other way around where I'll shoot point blank with a party crasher and melee and somehow they still have 50% health. Too much inconsistency in this game to blame it all on myself. Sure I do have bad games but not over and over and over.
