What are your views on Censorship?
Do you think it's okay that people get arrested for saying immigration should be blocked?
Getting arrested because you posted a satire video about Nazis.
Should drawings be prohibited because they're obscene?
Many Western countries have already submitted to this, getting arrested for stating your views, or satire videos. Whenever people say we fought in WW2 for freedom, hardly considering today's state of affairs.
Your views?
- And if you're against it, what are you doing about it?

Edited by Æsir: 8/14/2016 7:42:08 AMCensorship is wrong, but you need to be prepared to deal with the consequences of what you say.

If those drawings depict child pornography then yes, please censor that.
-
There's no definitive answer to "is censorship wrong" That said, if someone was to ask "is censoring ______ wrong" then I could answer the question.
-
It depends.
-
Depends on what you're censoring. I'm mostly against it, but there's some stuff you shouldn't see.
-
Censorship is iffy. Rating boards are about censoring content for parts of the population and things get censored to hide someone's identity to stop harassment or because its gruesome. Your opinion on the other hand shouldn't be censored

Edited by LahDsai: 8/10/2016 6:45:40 AMOn the one hand, there are times it's necessary or, at least, highly advised (reporting on troop movements/locations, showing an execution on the news when children may be watching or showing in-detail construction of a bomb in a movie). On the other hand there are clearly times where it's wrong (silencing a dissenting opinion or covering up corruption). While there are some definite black and white cases, there's a huge gray area where it's not entirely clear. McCarthyism is a great example. It doesn't matter whether it's true or not; once an accusation is made public, an individual's reputation can be ruined forever. There're also issues like doctor-patient confidentiality or attorney-client privilege. Censorship, while largely wrong, is a necessary evil. It is often abused and used as a means of control over the masses but sometimes it's the better option.

War and armed conflict should stop being censored for sure, maybe people would stop fighting over stupid shit after a while.

Bungie is a business. As a business, they want to appeal to the largest base of potential customers. Politically charged statements and controversial issues necessarily push people away. It is in Bungie's interest to remove these statements. This is pretty basic stuff, guys.

Censorship goes against the first amendment. Censorship takes away peoples opinions because people's feelings could be hurt.

First Amendment Europe, you can taste the freedom.
