When you make the purchase, you agree to purchase the licence to use that game, and a part of that agreement says that the developers can alter the game's content at any time, this includes completely neglecting to support the game further, which they've chosen to do. No foul play has taken place. Bungo are well within their rights to halt further support of last gen consoles.

 • I personally found that agreement a bunch of bullshit as a person who is investing money on a game. It gives the developers too much power over the costumer's investment. The problem with Bungie is that with every expansion and DLC, instead of expanding and adding content, they are replacing it. That causes core features of the game to become unavailable for players that payed for that content. Lets say i buy the original Destiny game, no expansions, no DLCs..... Am i able to get and buy the gear and weapons that came with the base game??? No and that is where the problem is. When RoI comes out this september, would i be able to keep getting the same stuff that i've getting all this time if i decide not to get it? No and that's where the problem is.

 • By hitting X and playing the game you agree to whatever...so you can suck it up and play without support, nut up and get current gen, or not play at all. You still have the right of choice

 • I have current gen already. That doesn't mean that what they are doing is ok.

 • That's correct. And entirely my point... By agreeing to the EULA you agree that at any time, the developer can chage the content you've agreed to use. You can terminate the agreement at anytime by simply not using it. If you feel that the developer/publisher has too much power over your investment, don't invest. As the End User of the product, that's your decision to make, and no time have the publishers agreed to allow you to 'revert' to previous versions of the software.

 • So, you are telling me goings against of the definition of what an expansion and DLC is and just replace the previous content with the new one, is also part of the EULA? I'm sorry but what Bungie is doing with this game every time a DLC or expansion comes out, is just plain wrong and a disrespect and abuse to their loyal fanbase and its money. If you like their game, they basically force you to spend more money to keep enjoying it.

 • Yes. And they're well within their rights to do so. If you don't like it, you can terminate the agreement at any time

 • I would if i could but, if i don't agree with their terms, i can't play the game... not even what i already paid for. Apparently the money i spent means nothing if i don't keep giving them more. You really don't see anything wrong with that?? This is the first game i encounter that if you don't buy the expansions and DLCs, your experience with the original base game is not the same. Other developers come out with expansions and DLCs that add and expand on the original content of the game, not replace it. Again, if you don't see anything wrong in that and believe is in their right, you're part of the problem. This is why gaming in this generation is turning into shit. Developers do whatever gets them more money and gamers are ok with it.....

 •
You really don't see anything wrong with that??
I never said that at all, I merely stated the fact of the matter in that no matter how greasy it is, there's no foul play at hand, it's all been done legally. I guess I don't see in a problem with it because I actually knew it already, I was aware of the power over it they have. I've had it happen to me on many games prior to this one, and it isn't a problem with this generation, these have been a standard since 1947. When the US code of Copyright Law was implemented.
