***READ THE WHOLE POST BEFORE COMMENTING*** We all know how overpowered snipers are, and something needs to be done to them!! Snipers are dominating Crucible and killing with just a shot or two at any range no matter what! I hate that you can just scope in and place your marker on someone's head and get a kill. One time, I even got shot when someone wasn't scoped in! 2-3 magazines is way too much ammo for a gun that can kill that easily. It's so overpowered and it ruins my fun and it's a cancer on Destiny! Snipers are the dumbest weapon type and shouldn't even exist in Destiny. Who ever heard of getting killed by a sniper rifle in a shooting game? It kills way too fast. This isn't Call of Duty! Snipers shouldn't kill this much! So I figured out what we should do about snipers: - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Absolutely nothing. Come on, do you guys just not know how snipers work? They're supposed to kill at any range. A .50 calibre round through the skull is going to ruin your day no matter if it's fired from 5 feet away or 5000. And some of your suggestions are just abysmal. Increased flinch on the only gun type with any noticeable flinch? Increased time to ADS when you need it most? Ridiculously low ammo capacity so you can minimise your DPS in PvE? Don't even get me started on the "descope on damage" posts. This isn't Halo. Things don't work that way. Every PvP sniper nerf both ruins the fun of people who snipe because they enjoy it (like me, at times) and completely destroys their use in PvE. And if you wanna say you don't need them for PvE, go fight Oryx or the Warpriest with a shotgun and tell me how that goes for you. Look, I get it. It kills you too often, and you don't like how cheesy the weapon appears. But nerfing it isn't the solution. Part of it is the abysmal range of shotguns, everything about fusion rifles, and the weak primaries. But part of it is on you, too. Stay out of sniper lanes. Don't let them surprise you. Communicate with your team in Trials. Kill them before they can kill you. And above all, show better sportsmanship. Learn to lose graciously and to take your lumps when you've got to. Don't ruin someone else's game or take away the fun of their favourite weapon just because you're obsessed with your K/D or going flawless or whatever else. Don't take a scorched earth policy about a damn game.
