Northerner?

Originally from Southern California. Now living in Utah. So, technically I was south of the Mason Dixon and now I'm north of it. I've always lived in some sort of Suburban area. Though I love the country a lot more than being in town.

I was perfectly fine, Until you said country music. What do you have to say in your defence?

Most modern country is trash with a few exceptions. When I say Country, I am talking about Country and Western. David Allen Coe Waylon Jennings Willie Nelson Johnny Cash Merle Haggard Hank Williams etc... Hank Williams III is pretty good, as is Aaron Lewis and some Dwight Yokem. But past those three, a lot of it is pop with a twang. I guess the better descriptor is Outlaw Country. Songs about raising hell, drinking, guns, women, and running from the law. These are songs that are legitimately fun to listen to. A lot of them are quite funny too. Also a bunch of fun is Honkey Tonk like Asleep at the Wheel. It's an acquired taste. I used to really dislike Country, but then I started listening to the old stuff, like Cash and Jennings. Then it went from there.
