Because I know that someone on my team will go take Zone A and flip our spawn. EVERY -blam!-ING TIME. Even when we control both B and C, they will go take A.
And if the enemy starts taking C, causing the spawn to flip, the randoms won't do the smart thing and go fight to take it back. Hell no. Too much work. They'll go over to the unoccupied and undefended Zone A and proudly take it. Sometimes they'll dance, the morons. It never occurs to them that there's a REASON it's undefended: the other team is BEGGING YOU to go take it.
WILL YOU FOR THE LOVE OF CRAP STOP DOING THIS.
A Control match on Shores of Time, between 2 teams that both know what they're doing, will revolve around taking zones B and C. The only time ANYONE will take A is when Bravo takes it as their first zone. After that, there is NO reason whatsoever to ever see any announcement regarding Zone A. NONE. WHATSOEVER. I don't care if you lost all your zones; go take B or C. DON'T take A. It just makes things worse.

STOP IT. JUST STOP. DON'[T TAKE ZONE A.

Sigh... Your KD is so low it matters not, what the other players on the team do. Your team could hold A,B and C and still manage to get rekt.
savage
The one Bungie map I hate of all time. It's shores of time.
-
I don't even take A at the start, go for B or challenge their team for C. I have a bad habit of the latter and eventually giving my opponent the first blood medal because I'm always the only one going for C first :p
-
lol so many randoms going over to zone A when you already have B and C and wrecking the spawns..spawning on A while you had B and C makes me want to sit down in a corner

Play with a fire team

Edited by lynk: 7/25/2016 2:33:11 PMBut Zone A is better than Zone C. It's closer to Zone B, and also has a position to overwatch snipe over B, making it easier to get and protect it. And there is almost no cover for attackers coming through the caves, while your team has a lot of cover, as well as the high ground, giving them an advantage over anybody coming through the caves. Another advantage is you have the container thing you can headglitch snipe to the intersection tunnels near Zone B. While on the other hand, Zone C has no advantages. Why on earth would you rather have C over A? Edit: I got my zones mixed up. For some reason I was thinking A was C and vice versa. Carry on, nothing to see here. #TitanMasterRace

I dance so i can take it faster "Its not unusual to be loved by anyone"

I tried to explain this to someone I was playing with and the reason they took A was because they died less since no one goes there. I was reminded that people who join in IB don't play crucible on a regular basis so I just have to try and play smarter.
-
Thanks for the heads up, honestly there are probably many (I will fully admit to being one of them) that did not realize this, you actually made me a better player, and I appreciate it...
-
Why control A? Because a heavy spawns right on on.
-
I agree, BUUUUT its easy to forget that most players are not hardcore enough to know the best spawns/lanes/zones, etc. They play when they can, understand the basics of the maps and 'mostly' do their best. I've had the same frustration on that map, but this game is far bigger than the small percentage that really, really knows the maps. -This assessment does not include the truly stupid or those that just like screwing with their team.-
-
For this reason is exactly why I think sbmm for the most part is against you when giving you your teammates. I'm not god but I'm pretty far up there in the player percentages and anyone with my skill and knowledge knows damn well to rush C if we get A spawn instead of trying to cap A. It's obnoxious.

Made a post about this last week! It's very frustrating cause there's nothing you can do
-
I love that map

Edited by bb0904x: 7/26/2016 4:53:02 AMAbsolutely agree, although I have been in a match where the win came from holding A and B! Surprised the hell out of me. Great when you get a team who all work the same strat of B and C, frustrating just a bit when you get put in a team of jack rabbits on energy drinks that hop from one control point to the next and wont defend any zones (they actually hopped around the map)! Edit. Just played a great game on the shores. Everyone working to the same strategy. Capped C and B. No one ventured to A. Enemy team repelled numerous times. Final result 20k to us, 8k to the other team and everyone in our team a positive KD.

We all feel your pain.

This And A on blind watch when we had B and C. Haven't seen that map in forever!

Edited by RAVPAV59: 7/26/2016 2:52:23 AMThere are several maps where holding B and C is the way to win where as capping A will almost certainly guarantee a loss. I had a rough go of this last Iron Banana. I think from now on, if you're playing Iron Banner control and you start on A as your capture point just leave with your team and forfeit the match. You're gonna lose anyway, and it would certainly speed up Iron Banner Control.

I see that Goth and I aren't the only ones lol

Is it bad I knew what this post was going to be about before even reading it..?
-
I got kicked out of a clan once because the leader kept running to flag A because he thought it was a better flag since it's always unguarded.
-
There should be a shame icon above the guardian of anyone who caps A on that map. That way everyone will know who it was.
-
Yesterday I was playing solo. Out of frustration I put on the headset. No one else has there's on. Found myself yelling to no one for the love of God please go to B! Stay the f**k away from A! BBBBBBBBBB! who the H is trying to cap A! Really are you blaming trying to loose! I swear I'm just going to leave the match! So on and so forth. That's pretty much how the conversation with myself went as my team got decimated.
-
Exactly. It's the absolute worst zone in control of all the maps. I'd love to know the win/loss ratio of Shores of Time when a team controls A. I'd bet they always lose. I can think of NO other map that spawns you ON the control point. When my team is losing and we have A spawn it literally spawns you in the cave directly ON TOP of A Flag and it's almost penalizing you and forcing you to keep A. What other map does that. I don't spawn on A B Or C on Exodus blue, or Twilight Gap, Not ON TOP of the flag. Sometimes near BUT NOT on TOP of the flag.
-
Why do people always complain about this? It's not going to change anything. If you have such a problem with it then make up a team... If you are playing Solo there's nothing you can do, most of the people in game DON'T even use the forums. C side is better yes but it's honestly not that hard to take C base. I feel I win just as much as on either side I spawn on
