Here's my problem with S2. Season 1 was so amazing because of how they developed Kaneki as a character. Seriously. It's great character development. Through the entire show you just keep waiting for him to finally snap and become a badass. And he does...in the last two minutes of the show. They make him ridiculously overpowered. So then you're like, "oh man, can't wait for season 2!" Where he gets like 3 episodes dedicated to him. They spent way too much time on side characters nobody cares about, rather than following the character that they spent an entire season developing. The scenes that he's in the show, they make him seem like a badass. He's evolving and becoming way overpowered. Then the final fight with the detective(been a while, can't remember his name), they threw out all of his abilities for no reason, other than, "oh well the cops angry so he's now strong." Even in the manga, the fight lasts about 2 seconds because Kaneki is so OP that he doesn't even have to try to destroy the guy. But in the anime, they make him struggle for no reason other than to create false tension. It's stupid. That being said, I still enjoyed S2, and I'm hopeful for S3.
