Triple Threat Titans Side-Stories: My Fireteam

For All Things By Splash Art Contest **This is from Cody's view** I am lonely. I only have one friend, an Exo Hunter named Mark-54. He's an all around nice guy. Otherwise, I have no friends. I'm quite shy. And afraid of girls. Don't tell me they can't hurt me. All the ladies I know are guardians, like me. So they carry weapons. So women are dangerous. Taking What is love? Baby don't hurt me, to a whole new level. Mark wants me to join a fireteam. So far, there's only two people, and no girls, according to Mark. He's never let me down. That's why the Exo's a nice guy. That's kinda a good thing 'cause my Ghost, Ace, is pretty annoying. Never could imagine him being my friend. Now, Mark, this other person, and I are going to meet at the Tower. I can't wait to make a new friend. ==================================== **This is now from Mark-54's view** "Mark, you sure this is a good idea? Just jumping straight in without a strategy." Sarah asked. "Not having a strategy is a plan. Which is a good strategy. Plus, it's never let me down," I insisted, leaning against the tree. Sarah retorted, "Never let you down? Yeah right. Not having a strategy nearly burned all my hair off a year ago. It also has got you killed multiple times." Warlocks are just suspicious. And they have amazing recall. And they're powerful. But Sarah, despite being one of my closest friends, just makes me uneasy. I think she's hiding lots of secrets and power that out-matches most other Warlocks. But unlike other Warlocks, she's nice to me. Given there be a brawl between Hunters and Warlocks, she'll beat up her own brethren. She's also very outgoing, and isn't always serious. She sings, quotes pre-Golden Age movies, and makes jokes. "Just, follow my lead," I said. "Okay, now that's a strategy." Cody showed up at the Tower. I waved. He came running but stopped in his tracks when he saw Sarah. "Umm.... Mark.... What...." He stuttered. ===================================== **Back to Cody's perspective** Only behind Mark was the hottest Warlock I'd ever seen. I was overcome by awe. She had long brownish-blonde hair touched Her shoulders. Her hazel eyes were tame and I got lost in them easily. Her skin was apricot. And her peach lips, I could daydream about kissing for years. She only looked about fifteen. Fine with me. According to Ace, I look like I'm sixteen. But I've never looked into mirror. Of course I was scared. I was terrified. But I was kinda excited. Maybe Mark did this to teach me not to be scared of the ladies. He has never let me down. "CODY!" Mark yelled shaking me out of my dazed state. "What?" I asked. "May I speak to in private?" "Okay." He dragged me to the Vaults. "Are you mad at me?" he asked. "No," I replied. "Good." "One question, is she single?" "She is but don't even try flirting. She and I have been friends for a while, but every time I've tried to ask her out, she's shut me down faster than a sparrow going 320 miles an hour. If that's even possible." "Okay. Noted." Mark just lead me back to the tree where this girl was standing. "So, obviously, this guy is one of your friends, which one?" she asked Mark. "Oh, I guess I'm a dumb Exo right now. Sarah, this is Cody. Good friend of mine," Mark introduced. "Hello Sarah," I said. "Hi Cody," she waved. =================================== **Mark-54's perspective** Cody fainted when Sarah said his name. "Wow, he's lovesick," Sarah said. "And afraid of you," Havoc reminded her. "Yeah. It's going to be a while before he gets used to the fact that you're gorgeous," I said. "He's gonna be okay, right?" Sarah asked. "As long as I'm here, Hot Stuff," Ace announced. "F**k you," Lunar said. "Yeah, don't call me that, Little Light," Sarah replied. "I can call you Hot Stuff, sweetheart. Plus, the name's Ace," Ace countered. "If you can call me Hot Stuff, I can call you Little Light," Sarah finalized. "Mark, we're in for a tough ride," Havoc said.
