I went into my dream career a couple years after High school. I was a forest ranger for three years and a park ranger two years before that. I loved the field. But, the pay sucked. So, now that I have a family, I just go for whatever pays the best and has benefits. Sometimes I really miss it, the amount of personal satisfaction I got, and how I felt like I was contributing to something that was going to benefit not just me but my kids and future grandkids. But that's life.
