If a striker titan's smash hits a blade dancer, storm caller.... They die. If a tether shoots anyone in a super they lose thier super. Why shouldnt a nova bomb destroy a bubble? All classes have supers that can trump another its part of the game

  • nova bomb radius is 1.5 time bigger than strike yet it can be fired across the map also you can move during the animation to change position it need less area of effect or where you aim it lands non of this being able to follow the target during the animation shit

  • I think OP means that before the patch, the Nova Bomb only destroyed the bubble. Now it both destroys the bubble and kills those inside...

  • What Super does Ward of Dawn trump? By this logic, you're saying "If one Super can beat another Super why is it wrong for Nova Bomb to beat Ward of Dawn?" Well, Ward of Dawn doesn't trade with Fist, Hammer, Golden Gun, Blade, Nova Bomb, or Storm. A well placed Arrow and Sunsinger can also disrupt the bubble.

It doesnt trump another super, neither does sunsinger. What Im saying is all classes have a super that can trump another. Titans have 2, warlocks have 2 and hunters have 3. Defender titans can also buff a whole team. I agree it prob needs some love but a nova bomb poping a bubble isnt the issue, its thier other abilites

Good question wail! Here is a list of protocols for dealing with every super in the game I am currently working on a video series on my youtube channel for every counter in the game. Hopefully this will explain why I have the problem with shatter lol. Keep in mind I am using armor of light, and suppressor grenades. Striker: A striker can be easily dodged if you stand near the edge of the bubble (that is the safest spot to be) as long as you are on the opposite side as the striker when he hits the ground, you are safe! *your bubble will be gone, but you will be alive and can easily shotgun the striker before he is done with his animation*. Void Walker: Nova Bomb is no different (without shatter) As long as you are on the opposite side as the warlock, you will survive the blast. Just watch out for the vortex if they are using it. With "Shatter" on the other hand, it DOESN'T MATTER!!!!!!!!!!!!! You can be on the opposite side and around a corner and you will still die. Shatter will destroy the bubble if ANY ONE OF THE 3 bombs hit the bubble. Then there will be 2 left over to kill you. This is the problem I have. A regular nova bomb (like all of the other supers) is NOT A GUARANTEE. You have to stratagize, aim, and be sure you will land your hit on the titan either inside his bubble(good strat) or tricking him into stepping out and getting him. Shatter is a 100% kill chance. Blade Dancer: These are currently the easiest super in the game to deal with. If they come swinging in, two shots of invective or a shot from a conspiracy theory / fellwinter's + melee will get the job done. If they use razor's edge, they are a relatively slow moving target that is easy to hit with a suppressor before they become a huge threat. Storm caller: soooooo...... this is where it gets interesting...... "Landfall" I do have a problem with, but it is not as bad as the one I have with shatter. A storm caller using the RT ability can be countered if you are a good grenade thrower. 9 times out of 10 I can hear him coming and suppress him before my bubble gets popped. With "Landfall" I throw a grenade at my feet as soon as the animation is done and then I suppress us both...... not the most effective, but it works. Also note if the storm caller comes in, invective downs him in 2-3 shots depending on your range. *note* Landfall is not lethal to a titan with armor of light. Tether: I feel you may be under the impression that simply shooting a bubble with an arrow will make it disappear. thankfully it takes more than that. It takes 3 arrows that hit the bubble in 3 SEPARATE SPOTS in order to pop the bubble. HOWEVER if the archer is skilled, he can actually split the first arrow like robin hood and the second shot will punch through the "hole" made by the first one. This will tether anyone inside and kill them if they are not using armor of light. however if they are using armor, they can still be tethered via the "robin hood" method, but two direct hits with a tether will not be lethal. This is a trimmed responce to the super's you have listed. Please let me know if you want to hear more about the others :) youtube link (series in progress): for the first 4 mins, im talking about landfall before they tweaked it. at 4:02 I demonstrate how to survive other super abilities. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s54d2zR2HI0

  • I main a void walker warlock and there are plenty of times i throw a shatter and people near it dont die, its not fool proof. Like wise striker titans can activate thier super and jump right through a nova bomb this happens all the time. And also a nova bomb is the only super in the game that can kill it user if thrown too close to an object. Yes its strong but not unbalenced at all. I shot a hammer titan with a rocket last night and he lived haha. So every class has a few quirks that make them seem op. You can thank bungie for all the nova bombs. They nerfed sunsingers into the ground and most warlocks jumped ship
