I don't like to use them because wasting a scorpion that I can get a rampage with in normal warzone on the 5th round against ais that can kill it in seconds if they want to is a terrible trade

I agree. But if it seems like your team is about to lose a round unless somebody pulls out a decent req I think it's worth it
