I'm sorry if this in the wrong spot, but I do not know where to post this.
Here is an idea to bring back elemental primaries and keep the game diverse. Every primary will still be kinetic (except for Zhalo Supercell, of coarse), but with a twist. Just like the chroma you get from the Sterling Treasure, you should have a chance to get an item to make your primary an elemental. The type of elemental you would get would be random, just like the Chroma. But it would come with a cost. In order to use the element, you would spend a set amount of Legendary Marks and it would only last for 24 hours and it would have a cooldown timer. For example, if you use one, you cant use another one for another 24 hours. And only use on primaries (except for Zhalo Superell), since it already has an element), not secondary or heavy.
Here is an example:
I have a Treads Upon Stars (which is Kinetic), but I want to make it a Solar weapon. I would use the Solar item I have and spend (lets say) 50 Legendary Marks and apply it to Treads Upon Stars. Now, my Treads Upon Stars does Solar damage for the next 24 hours. But wait, I want to now change the element to something else. I go into my inventory to change it but it tells me it is in cooldown for the next 24 hours for all the elements I own.
This is an idea I have been thinking about for awhile. I know everyone loved the elemental primaries from year one but only used one or two of those weapons, leaving the rest untouched. This will allow you to use any primary and make it an elemental.
I'm not saying Bungie should or shouldn't do this, but it would be a great addition to Destiny.
Tell me what you guys think.
