Over watch was made by blizzard a company with a long history in e-sports. Destiny is made by bungie a company that would just fcuk it up. Also the game is nowhere near stable enough with the constant nerfs to work in an e-sport format

  • That's not entirely fair though. Bungie did give us Halo, which has been incredibly successful in professional competitive play.

  • Oh, agreed; hence the caveat. Though you have to imagine that part of the blunders of the Post-Halo Bungie have to be political. It's hard to imagine that such a monumental developer simply flushes all its talents and it's brains. As much as we want to imagine that companies are for-and-by gamers, the truth is likely much different. I think that is more the reason Bungie has hit a low point, and not a lack of talent or imagination.
