"Our concern is that this would eventually make the game way too lethal and chaotic overall. We want you to feel powerful when you're playing Destiny."
That quote was taken from this week's post.
Ummmm last time I looked, destiny was a FPS and killing things is somewhat up there in the priority list. So making the game too lethal by buffing the lesser classes makes no sense.
The second part isn't the first time that statement has been thrown around by Bungie people.
If you want to make us feel powerful then damn well DO IT!!
Case in point: The ridiculous bullet sponges that come out at the end of the enemy vs enemy events are ridiculous. How about make it so that after 2 guardians have each hammered them with supers, hundreds of rounds of MG ammo and a few rockets that perhaps they should be dead. Especially at a level 18 enemy.
Any mayhem match with supers going off left and right. That is chaotic, lethal and damn fun.
Why do you always do massive nerfs and only tiny little buffs? Makes no sense.
Hell, if there was an exotic straw and spit ball for a weapon Bungie would find a way to Nerf it. The spit is too sticky casing excessive ballistic trajectory, therefore we reduced the cohesion of the spit by 23.5% but we buffed the length of the straw by 0.01%...
Release the safeties and let the guardians BE POWERFUL!!!

I agree with this. Overwatch's characters are almost all overpowered in one way or another yet, there is still good game balance. Destiny needs to have all supers and guardians be ridiculously powerful. Nobody liked titan hammers back in the day? Well should have made the other supers just as powerful/annoying. Honestly that kind of game is way more fun than making everybody mediocre. Bump.

Jon Weisnewski is so clueless he couldn't figure his way out of a wet paper bag.
