Do you Dead Orbiters even know your own lore?
So do any of you Dead Orbit supporters actually even know the lore behind your faction or all of you just like "OMG BLACK SHADAHZ, I CAN BE SO EMO AND EDGY!"
I'm honestly wondering.

However, Dead Orbit, from my understanding wants to leave Earth behind and spread themselves out so thinly that they're always going to be around, even if we don't know it. NM wants to continue to make the City prosperous and return Earth to it's former glory, which I'm on board with. We need to start somewhere, right? There's an odd mysticism about Future War Cult however that has been pulling me into them more lately. From a game play standpoint I'm finishing my Dead Orbit rep to get the Exotic cloak, but at heart, I've always been a New Monarchy supporter from Day One, but as I said before, FWC has been having a pull on me in regards to lore. We'll see where things go from a story and lore standpoint. As for now, NM loyalty. Edit: And I cannot leave out the Queen. I go through these phases of loyalty with the Queen and change my shader and cloak to that of the Queen's Guard. I don't know why, but there's an odd sense of loyalty to her as well.

16 RepliesIt's a game, who really -blam!-ing cares? I get my exotic mark or bond or whatever and move on. Then after all are collected I wear what I like best. I don't know anyone who has faction "loyalty". It serves no purpose in the game, thus, nobody gives two shots on their back stories. Smh

I had my titan switch allegiance last night because I was sitting at 500 rep away from a package from DO and have been for a few months now. Got the nowhere from the package. Gonna drop them like dead weight now, FWC all the way for all my characters.

Is it fun being typical? I mean, if we're over-generalizing each faction then.. New Monarchy wants to build an empire out of scrap metal, and have a presiding body dictate the remnants of humanity without representation. Now, historically that has been cool and all for things like architecture and literature, but for the actual humans? Do you know how many people were beheaded during the French Revolution? Kings and Queens do not work. FWC is probably more appealing to the people who take charge of things, the people who see themselves as problem solvers. That's nice and all, but realistically are ANY of you truly joining the FWC to fight until there is nothing left? Sure that sounds noble and all, but I highly doubt that anyone here has the balls to run into a storm of enraged Hive soldiers lol.. And that brings us to the usual "DO = cowards" bull. No, we're [i]realistic[/i]. We are all sitting behind a wall trying to be proud and hold on to what [i]little[/i] we have left. Meanwhile, this next DLC slated to drop clearly shows how vulnerable we are. Waiting beneath a weakened Traveler for death? Hoping Rasputin does anything for us? There are many holes in packing up and leaving, such as figuring out how we would manage to move so many humans.. But better to try than to have half the city get mauled in their sleep! We aren't going to be prepared for every onslaught, we can't win every fight.

1 ReplyHonestly, Dead Orbit are the wimpiest of the 3 XD "Oh sh*t. Earths done for. EVERYONE RUN AWAY!" New monarchy- "OK! We need equal rights for everyone and a strong leader? Who's the strongest to lead us to victory!?" FWC- "Right, I looked into my crystal ball and we all die. So we need to make sure that doesn't happen. Who's willing to kill things with us so we live!?"
