My question is does this mean that the vex can now come to earth. I mean if SIVA is a Vex creation then this must be their way of answering to Athean's defeat at the Vault of Glass. Look when they released the trailer. Bungie said some interesting things. For example the city's Southern wall has fallen and the fallen have discovered a Plague. Maybe SIVA is the vex gateway to earth.

Well it is kind of weird. The vex could kill us at anytime if they wanted. They could travel back in time and blow up earth stopping the human race from evolving. Or the could have their generals and leaders from a earlier time period travel forwards and time so that they could be at full strength. The vex are the strongest race in destiny but the seem reluctant to use their powers.

Guess theyre still researching all the different timelines and manipulate them, to create scenarios that are exactly the ones they need, for whatever reason.

I don't think they see us as a true threat of you look at most the "weapons" they use they seem like they are using builders tools as weapons. If you don't take an enemy seriously you wouldn't use your actual weapon.

I guess. But if I were a machine that could simulate any outcome, I wouldn't take the chance. I would simply erase humanity from the equation. Especially since we killed atheon, their portal network on Mars, and the black garden. Of coarse all these things are still unaffected in past timelines, but we have done considerable damage in our current timeline. So if I were the Vex, humanity would be at a higher threat level than the cabal.

If that was confusing I can clarify. Cabal do total war and don't care they just want to win, Guardians just want to end the threat but still want to keep the system

Yeah but I always thought that the shield brothers were sort of acting on their own initiative. I always believed that the cabal field commanders were sort of fed up and decided to nuke the system. I don't believe that the emperor wanted the system destroyed. In my eyes the cabal shield brothers sort of went rogue. But I don't know for sure. Most of that was just what I imagined when I first did the strike. Also why wouldn't the emperor just send a couple ships with massive nukes to blow the place up?

Well initially they probably did not count or a hive God DECIMATING THEIR ARMIES TOTALLY the Cabal either underestimated how easily it was to fight to control the system or you know oryx coming screwed up their plans

Hmm that makes sense. Maybe(if my theory is correct) thats why the shield brothers nuked the system up. If you look at it from their point of view. This all powerful god destroyed over half of their forces, and is now a bigger threat than anything seen before. The shield brothers probably decided that they lost already and wanted to take Oryx down with them.

Yea I mean cabal literally lose everything if they don't win. The war they go to victory is the ONLY option to come back home

Yeah, but the guardians still have done more technical damage to the vex. Cause if the cabal set off a nuke the vex would simply send forces from a past timeline to salvage the wreckage. They are highly advanced robots, I don't think radiation would affect them. But humans have taken out networks of vex and their leaders. Plus we've even stopped some of their leaders from coming back from a past timeline. So I still think we are a bigger threat to the vex. But it's just my opinion.
