I like the weapons in Bloodborne, but I like the verity in Dark Souls and the setting more too.

I agree. BB basically looks the same everywhere. Didn't finish it yet was too bored so I decided to play something else. Too depressing

The setting of bloodborne changes dramatically about halfway through, and then again if you go to cainhurst.

Yes but I overall just don't really like the game. It's good, but not DS level

It's definitely not the same game. But I don't think you can really argue it's mechanically or visually worse than dark souls, rather, it's just different.
