Why do you need to beat oryx if you also need to collect all 50 fragments? If you collect all the fragments then you would have to had beaten oryx.

Hard mode could be done without getting all the fragments. The calcified requires doing the challenge mode.

Can you do challenge mode on normal? I thought it was only hard mode.

You're thinking of the emblem. Have to do challenge on hard to get those.
