I imagine it'd take your breath if you're still alive you'd start hyperventilating to try and recover but you'd still be lightheaded a bit and lacking the amount of energy that you had before being hit by void really needing a hotmeal, water, and a nap. If it was death no breath, energy, then darkness until respawn.
