Why all the posts supporting Bungie banning people? I understand red bars are no fun in pvp, I have stopped playing it because of this, but surely the onus should be on Bungie, first to change their infrastructure and get rid of P2P to help solve a lot of the problems their current set up is causing in this game.
Then if people are still red barring and lagging, start dishing out warnings and bans to players, after all we are THEIR PAYING CUSTOMERS.
after all we are THEIR PAYING CUSTOMERS.
Right, but this is why you pay for your meal after you eat at restaurants. You are the paying customer, but you have already paid. And what is the return policy at most all stores on opened games? Non-returnable. At this point, I believe the Consumer laws should do something to stop these companies from selling lemons (consoles/games) and force them to be responsible for their product instead of trying to sell them brand new in the box "AS-IS".
Im talkling to you MS: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/servicesagreement/ 12. YOU UNDERSTAND THAT USE OF THE SERVICES IS AT YOUR OWN RISK AND THAT WE PROVIDE THE SERVICES ON AN "AS IS" BASIS "WITH ALL FAULTS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." YOU BEAR THE ENTIRE RISK OF USING THE SERVICES. I'm also a paying customer and I spend money for a great Internet connection specifically for gaming. I shouldn't be punished because other people are cheap.
-
They should put all the red bar gods together in the same matches and let them 'lag' it out.

And so are the people with good connections. I don't lag at all why should I have to deal with your crap internet. A better compromise is to take all the people and instead of banning them make them all play against each other all the time. They will never have dedicated servers, ever. If you've got fast internet and are still lagging, make sure to hardwire your ps4, and Defrag it every once in a while, it helps a ton.
-
Why spend money on special servers for them? There is no subscription to lose, they already paid for the game. They agreed to the rules. Ban them because it affects others people's experience. 1 cheater on a single trial card will affect up to 27 other players throughout the matches. Many don't stop after the lighthouse and keep playing trials so 1 cheater can affect alot.
-
It's crazy to ask ppl to defrag, go wired, reset ps4 cache etc etc. A game should work with minimal download/upload speeds. Just as it does with any other online fps on the ps4. The fact this is not the case with Destiny speaks volumes about their netcode engineering prowess, hint it's really weak
-
I see your point, and I don't disagree that it should work with minimal effort on our part, but the fact is that it doesnt. They're probably never going to have dedicated servers, so for whatever reason people are constantly red barred it is ruining other people's game. I'm all for banning the constant red bar/cheaters.
-
Cheaters 100% agree but if the red bar is a result of bungie's poor architecture, that's when things get grey for me. Cod has p2p too with weak lag compensation but they won't ban ppl for being red bar. Going back to 100% CBMM would improve things so much in my opinion Just my 2 cents

Edited by amandajc808: 6/4/2016 8:49:24 PMMy crap Internet? Way to go on the assumption. I don't have crap Internet, thank you. If I did I would have said so. The whole point is with Bungie's set up you can have the best Internet money can buy, from a non business perspective (which I do by the way) and if whoever is host is using WiFi or on the other side of the world. It's nit going to make a damn difference for the most part. Also don't make assumptions in what Bungie may or may not do. Only they know. I thought they had tried matching connectivity with connectivity already and it hadn't worked anyway
-
More of a generalization than a personal attack, but like I said make them all play against each other, the problem will work itself out
-
Well dont say 'your' in direct response to someone's post, most people that can read english will assume you are talking to them
