The green gauss energy clashes against the floating red gauss from his body, extending to form a shield. It makes the axe and Vaaxius bounce back.
"Look at yourself... you won't even listen to reason. You have lost everything, yet you still fight for those who took everything from you. They robbed you of your life. They made you into a walking horror. And yet you praise them with hatred. Can you not see that these are the makings of a slave?"
He stood there, calm and rational.

"They're badges of honor! And you're nothing but a deserter and a liar!" She continues to attack, but he could see the conflicting emotions in her eyes. As if her mind was fighting with her soul.
-
Every attack was futile. They all ended in the same result, with her being thrown back. "Do you not hear yourself? The mindless Zeal? The refusal to question yourself? Those are behaviors of a slave. Chaos fiends say the same. People who have free will owe it to themselves to put their beliefs into question. To challenge their own allegiances, to test the strength of their faith. In that aspect, much of the Imperium is similar. Slaves to their belief of what their old emperor desired. Even the Tau are similar. A naive urge to follow the Greater Good. None of them have free will. They are all slaves to their gods, their faith, their values. It is right to have those three. But it is wrong to blind yourself to their injustice. The C'tan used the Necrontyr to satisfy their needs. The Necrontyr were robbed of choice. They were forced into becoming deathless machines. That is why you are all fueled with rage. The Necron have suffered lifetimes of hatred towards their masters. Towards their inability to rebel."
-
Her attacks were becoming weaker as she starts to argue with herself, her normal voice with the Eliksni accent acting as her soul and her synthetic and twisted voice acting as her mind. "Listen to him! He's telling the truth!" "Shut up! All you do is lie! You make me doubt what is true and try to make me believe in the false!" "Do you even remember your house?! Your duties before you became this?! Do you even remember your children!?" "I do! And I can't wait to kill them! They're inferior to me! They have no right to exist!"
-
"You doubt yourself because your sanity is trying so hard to slip back in! Give up the fight, Vaaxius. Think of your husband. Your Kell. Think of your true life. The love you once felt. Your emotions." The red gauss energy begins seeping within the cracks of her synthetic body, purifying her of the green necron possessing energy. "Remember!"
-
She falls to the ground as a piercing scream of agony escapes her lips, her mind breaking free of her indoctrination as she remembers what she used to be like. Her eyes flood with tears as she weeps.
-
Her body was glowing with liberated necron energy, it hummed with red power. "Life is a choice. Slave have no choice over their lives. But you do, Vaaxius. Because you are no slave."
-
Vaaxius gets back up and looks at him. Before he can react, she slaps him. "That's for making me a slave!" Slap! "That's for making me kill so many people!" Slap! "And that's just for good measure!"
-
He was about twenty feet tall, but luckily for her he was crouching to her height, expecting such a response. He took every slap, feeling no pain. He was a machine, after all. "I understand."
-
"You made me commit atrocities! You made me go against who I was! I hate you!" Vaaxius pounds against his chest as tears stream down her face.
-
Her fists do little against his metallic chest. "I was a slave, like you. I had no control. I was obeying orders. I was but a conduit for the C'tan's hatred. I was not a man, until I touched the Nightbringer. Once I was in contact with the god... I was the master. I was in control. I had the choice. And I made it. I suffered for my sins, as a Necron. I still do. That is why I refuse to rest. I owe it to the Necrontyr. I must free as many of them as I can. Let them rest. No being should suffer such a fate. Not you. Nor I. Nor the Necrons."
-
Vaaxius soon gives up as she cries uncontrollably. "M-My.... Family.... Friends.... I've lost them all...."
-
"All is not lost, Vaaxius. They may still be alive. Changed, having gone their different paths, but still alive. Now that you have regained your free will, you have the choice. You can choose hope. Or you can choose defeat. That is up to you. I chose hope. I rekindled with my daughters. We have the same mission now. I have met my friends again. I am different. I had caused horrible strife. But I attone for my sins. And I can help you do the same." He holds his large robotic hand open in front of her to help her up.
-
She takes his hand, he could see her eyes were now a mixture between blue and red. "Thank you... For freeing me.... We need to free the rest of the group...."
-
"we have more than a group to free. But we will do it, even if it means one person at a time."
-
"Alright... I'm scared to leave this place now....."
-
"Scared of what?"
-
"Going.... I'll be attacked by everyone now..."
-
"Not if you stay near me. You should be safe."
-
"A-Are you sure?... Will the imperium not attack you?..."
-
"I am a friend of the Imperium. They know these colours well. They know who I am."
-
"A-Alright, thank you.... I feel disgusted with myself... I can remember every fanatic speech I told about the C'tan, every butchered soul....."
-
"Good. You must never forget them. They are your sins. They are what drive us to avenge those we punished unjustly."
-
Vaaxius nods as she stands up. "Yeah.... You said you had control of The Nightbringer, how exactly?"
-
"We shared a body momentarily. He was me, and I was him."
-
"Wow, that had to be hard."
