I don't mind if he's black, as long as it's a good actor. In fact, I'd quite enjoy Idris Elba as James Bond.

I just don't see why they need to change him after all this time.

They've been changing him after every few films, give or take. Sure, they haven't changed his skin colour but they have changed his eye colour, etc. What's the difference? Story wise, James Bond is actually a lot of different people, so MI6 could hire a black Bond, unless for some reason they're racist and the criteria is that they have to be white. After all, Idris Elba is very English. Don't think of it like "he's always been white so he should always be white".
