How about this:
No hunter or hunter doesn't have tether, melting point is used
Hunter has shadow shot, tether is used
HOWEVER
If you take a guardians shield half way down and use melting point melee, it will 1 hit kill him. If not, he will burn out. It's an alternative to waiting a year for super
