New iteration of some plot
Alternate plot Chapter 1: Awakening
Ryker jerked awake. He was in a cabin of what looked like a ship. It was small, grimy. The light flickered and the bed was hard. He stands up, his body dripping in perspiration. He looked at his hands, noticing a strange sign that looks like an eye.
"What...?"
Confused, Ryker steps outside the cabin into a hallway, it looked to be filled with the same cabins. He walked down the corridor, exiting a larger door and coming to a completely empty chamber. It was coated in s fine layer of dust.
"What is this place..."
He says to himself.
"Hello?"
How has he gotten here? Why was he here? He knew the answers to none of these. He exits the chamber I to a massive, massive hull of a ship. It was the size of a world, smaller ships flew around to their spots, screams could be heard, and fire could be seen. This was chaos related, he steps out, calling his ASCS down, luckily it still deployed. He had no idea where he was, or what the mark on his hand was, but he would need to find out.
if you're going to do chapters then could you name them with (Alternate Plot) somewhere in the header so that it doesn't confuse everybody with my chapter posts? Glad to see you here tho
A uneasy feeling was brought over the ship, then it quickly changed to calm. Thumping footsteps could be heard, more like pounding upon the ship.
-
An unbearable stench came from his surroundings. It was so strong, it almost gave him a headache.
-
"Jesus even my suit can't filter the smell..." He says with a disgusted voice.
-
He noticed how a portion of the halls he was in were rusty, rotten, as if they were laying a path before him. The stench served as a warning, of kinds, to beware the dangers that awaited down this treacherous path...
-
He carefully drew Angel, walking down the path slowly and cautiously. "Oh boy."
-
Unheeded the warning. Typical adventurer. If only he could be aware of the impossible dangers that awaited him... oh well. There was no turning back now. He would only discover them by meeting them firsthand... The stench grew stronger as he advanced, but barely noticeable at first. The rust that afflicted the metal walls, though, was getting obviously more poweful as he advanced. The dark hallways grew from a sombre dark to a sickly orange, with an ambiant colour of green.
-
He watched his surroundings. "This isn't good."
-
Strange, eerie sounds came from around him... creatures? The ship creacking? Who knew... god, if ever he existed, didn't know either. For this was beyond the realm of good, of comprehension.
-
He looks around. "Oh boy... Honey, I'm gonna be late for dinner.." He says to himself. "Jesus... How the hell did I get here."
-
He saw something out of the corner of his eyes. A strange, torn cloak. It was dark. Very, very dark.
-
He looked at it, observing it. He advanced on it. "What's this."
-
Suddenly, the robe vanishes into a swarm of flies. A deep, raspy, mysterious voice is then heard. "Beware, mortal... you enter the realm of the Lord of the Flies. Dangers beyond belief await you ahead..."
-
"Who is speaking?" Ryker says.
Sorry XD
-
"Death. And life. They are one and the same. I am both. They are I."
-
"So what... You're... Like the grim reaper and an angel kinda..?" Ryker says as he looks around cautiously. "You here to hurt me?"
-
"Pain... such an interesting concept. Pain is the body's perception to a threat. You feel pain because your brain tells you that something might be wrong. There is a chance of you suffering grave damages. I am not on the quest for pain. Nor am I the 'grim reaper', for there is no such thing. Life and Death are one and the same. There is no distinction."
-
He nods. "So why are you talking to me then?"
-
"To be sure that you understand the path you are taking. This path... is the path of death. It will end with your demise."
-
"Not to be rude oh great and powerful one, but if you could see some of the stuff I've escaped... I think you'd take that back... But, I do heed and take note of your words. Any advice as to how to avoid dying?"
-
"Death is inevitable. If your arrogance and foolishness must blind you, so be it. But you were warned..."
-
"I asked for advice...” He pauses. "What is this mark." His suit hand folds down to reveal his bare hand and the mark. He raises it.
-
The voice has already disappeared. He was alone now, in the stench and the rust.
-
He sighs. He needed to keep moving. Facing forwards he continues to move through the stench, watching his surroundings.
-
The clanking of metal on metal could be heard. Footsteps. Heavy footsteps.
