So help me understand this.
Are you upset they are invading your privacy by being able to read your messages?
Or are you upset about the fact they decided to add the report button to private messaging?

He's upset he can't be an unmitigated asshole on PM anymore.
-
How do you know that?
-
Occam's Razer. Also you didn't deny it just now; so there's that.
-
Between your meaningless statement and faulty logic I think you've gone incoherent.
-
Notice you still didn't deny it. How about, instead of impugning my logic, you just give a straight answer.
-
I'm not even sure what you mean when you claim I'm an unmitigated asshole. You still haven't stated why you think I'm such, and therefore I can't be one.

It's not as though you are only an asshole if I have good reasons for believing so; either you are or you aren't. The truth value of the statement is independent of my justification for suggesting it. To be clear, I'm suggesting you want to be an unmitigated asshole, because that's the simplest explanation for why someone would be up in arms about moderation of private groups (hence Occam's razor). The fact that you aren't defending against that allegation, and instead are tip toeing around the issue, by nipping at the periphery of my logic, instead of taking it head on, also seems like a tacit admission that I'm correct. Sort of like pleading the 5th over and over.

nice try, methew

What is methew? Is that a typo, or is that just something I'm too old to understand?

I have no doubt they have always been able to read private messages. The report button simply makes it easier for other users to incriminate others by creating a police state.
