It's called sprint lock man. The simulation of your guardian getting tired from running as fast as he/she can for however long you made him/her do it. Not a bug.

They're basically dead that have been reanimated. Who says that their internal organs are even functioning, and all that's keeping the "alive" is the light? They don't need to eat or drink, so maybe they also don't need to breath.
-
Your organs are functioning perfectly and you are also breathing, telling from the ability to hear your heart pounding when you hit low health.
-
True...why would the traveler give us the ability to live without needing to eat or drink, but still require us to have working organs? We'd be so much stronger if we didn't need a heart and lungs.
-
Sigh... *nerd mode activated* We need the heart and the lungs so oxygen gets around our body, to the organs which then combine the oxygen and glucose in the blood (the oxygen from the lungs, glucose from digestion and the small intestine, blood pumping from the heart) to form energy, which we need to move and do all our bodily functions. I have to assume that light acts as our food and drink.
-
Edited by Cry: 5/13/2016 6:59:41 AMWhy not just bypass the energy production and just have the Light give us energy directly? It has the power to reanimate corpses, but it requires the body to still have working internal organs? And what about the Exo's? Why would a robot need to stop and catch its breath?

Game logic?
-
There's unlimited sprint in the game. It's not a bug, but when I'm moving fast and land after a jump and wanna dash, I have to wait ~3 seconds full of analog smashing to get my guardian to move. Preeetty annoying.
-
This has happened to me. But the same happens after sprinting for a while, if you stop, you can't sprint again for like you said, 3 seconds.
-
Oh yeah, I've noticed you stop sprinting after a while. No unlimited sprint, I retract that statement. But man, I just hate when sometimes you expect to sprint and just walk. I understand what you meant now.
-
Which is stupid! I can sprint from the steppes to the rocket yard if I wanted to,but a short sprint side step makes me tired!?
-
Personally, I think it adds one of those tiny elements to the game that makes it a little more difficult. I don't have a problem with it. It's really not a big deal.
-
It's not a problem for me, so it's not an issue.
This sort of self-serving mentality isn't helping.
-
You quoted something I didn't say. What I meant when I kept saying is that it hasn't effected me is that I don't understand why people are so upset by this little insignificant thing due to the fact that it hasn't effected myself except on a few very rare occasions. And on top of that, those occasions weren't a part of situations that are generally very important. Not that it wouldn't be possible for it to happen in those more important situations, I'm sure it has for other people. However, if it's happening often enough for people to be clearly upset about it, then they may need to change up tactics a bit.
-
I don't have a problem with it. It's really not a big deal.
It was basically what you were saying. I know that's not exact words you had used, I paraphrased. Just because you don't see it as an issue/not affecting you, doesn't mean it's not an issue for other people.
-
And you've successfully just said what I just did. Congrats.
-
That's the way I feel about the special ammo nerf, but this is really annoying. It makes sense to prevent a Titan spamming shoulder charge, but hinders the others classes in a stupid way.
-
I agree about the special ammo thing! They say its supposed to drop more frequently to offset the lack of carried ammo! I do not see special ammo dropping anymore than it did before!
-
It hasn't really caused any problems for me. Honestly you might wanna play more safely if sprint lock is killing you man.
-
That right there is the attitude that has made the game a little less fun imo. Play safely? We're supposed to feel powerful. Cowering in corners and pot-shotting add waves makes me feel weak. The incessant nerfs have driven us to this point. Elemental primaries and year 1 power level guns were the most fun I've had playing this game. When a single add can take more damage than me, we've gone too far.
-
I don't do the pot shotting and hiding in corners that you speak of though. I still play plenty aggressive and that makes the game fun. But not recklessly. There's a difference there, and since I've realized that, I've been able to rush and have fun without dying from things like sprint lock, which shouldn't even really be a big problem to deal with anyway.

Edited by Gondimus: 5/12/2016 7:51:15 PMAnswer me this. When was the last time you actually cleared the last room before the darkblade encounter? My guess is you just run and pray through it like everyone else. Why is that? Because the adds take way too much damage to kill while doling out way too much damage. If you do clear that room, the only realistic way is to hide in the entry platform and pot-shot. I dare you to enter the room right away and try to find any relief from the pounding you'll take. Know what would help that? Powerful weapons and elemental primaries. So the nerfing, and admittedly poor design, of the game have driven us to either bypassing entire areas or cowering and pot-shotting. Some areas require lees of this, but this is just one example of many in the game right now. I don't play reckless, but I do play aggressive, and I die in instances that I don't feel are justified due to the aforementioned reasons. To me it's a glaring drive towards falsely increasing playtime.
-
Well, actually, your guess would be wrong when you say that. I usually don't have a problem pushing through that room. I'll kill the first two shriekers and then sword that group of tortured alcolytes. Then I take care of that group of normal taken alcolytes and the other two enemies (usually two taken Knights). After that it usually takes a clip from a good medium fire rate and impact scout rifle to kill the rest of those shriekers. But then I'll just suppress the centurion, sword him before the other majors kill me, then pop my bubble to get my grenade back and suppress the wizard and two alcolytes, sword them, and then everything's all good. And that's just when I end up solo. But yeah, the point is that maybe you shouldn't assume that every player's the same. Honestly, any player who's incapable of doing that might need to improve their PvE skills. Granted there's some supers (all of them pretty much) that should do a lot more damage in PvE. But the guns really are no more different in year two as compared to year one. I do agree with you on getting elemental primaries back though, I'd love to see that happen.

Edited by Gondimus: 5/13/2016 8:12:23 PMFirstly, I don't need to increase my pve skill, nor do most of the people I regularly play with. Second, "when you end up solo" would be the only time you could attempt to clear because literally everyone runs through that room and you would get pulled through. You also failed to mention what you do for the other front-side shriekers besides the first 2. You know, the ones that will 2-shot you with tracking projectiles while you apparently push into the room to sword the acolytes. You also missed quite a few yellow-bar enemies. The centurion, is centurions, meaning multiple, along with a good handful of other low level guys mixed in there, not just one or two. No offense, but I'm skeptical. If you run that room solo (meaning no-one matchmakes in) on heroic (I'm assuming you wouldn't be talking about any easy modes as there really isn't a reason for our light levels to be running it that way), your method quite simply doesn't work. You can solo that room with some serious hiding and pot-shotting in the beginning, but that's 20 minutes of your life you'll never get back. Lol. If you want me to believe your pve skills are so elevated that you can achieve the impossible, more power to you. You're more than welcome to take a gander at my play time to see that I'm a day 1, mainly pve player. This game isn't rocket science; most anyone that plays for that amount of time is going to be in the upper skill range. This is truly experience talking, not conjecture. If this conversation is to go any further on my end, it will require video proof from yourself. Otherwise, I bid you good day sir.
