First of all, to all those who say that who says it's a cooldown is an idiot, is an idiot himself lol, as it is a cooldown, but meant for the titan, to prevent him from one of his abilities, where he smashes his enemies (not sure how it's called in english version of the game and also don't own a titan, but this was discussed already very early for a long time, as far as i remember)...but the fact, that it's a "cooldown" and affects every other character and their subclass too, such as locks and hunters is not only poor design (and still in game just stupid), but surely the same reason why there's no difference between gunbalance in pvp and pve - just bungie being lazy morons (being not lazy = invest money lol^^) edit: [quote]It's been such a persistent problem that I'm surprised it hasn't been called to attention sooner.[/quote] It had more than enough attention in the past...but like so much other things ppl ask for and being ignored, this was just another thing that was being ignored until ppl gave up on wasting time to get this changed

  • Can you link anything from Bungie stating it's a cooldown or talking about it at all? I've never seen anything about it one way or the other and can't find it any of the normal Bungie places.

  • The ability is called shoulder charge in English. I was part of the people begging for this change but like you said bungie refuses to admit bugs and have only now fixed a problem that was in the game sense patch 1.1.1 with the melees which is over a year. I'm starting to think they only have one guy working on bugs and he also has to play test his own fixes.

  • It's not a bug, it's a design choice. They intentionally added the delay because of Shoulder Charge.

  • Yea but that cool down was ment for strikers. There is no point to that on a sunslinger or gunslinger with no movement abilities.

  • "No point" isn't correct. There's a given reason of continuity and consistency to have all characters have the same cooldown effect. It could be argued that it should only be on Strikers, but it could just as easily be argued to be fair to have on all characters rather than just one.

  • that is a detriment to classes that don't have moves for evasion. removing this cooldown should actually be a balance. why limit a classes movement just because one of the other classes has an ability that needs the limit? that is lazy design if that is the best defense you can bring to the debate. shoulder charge is a special ability exclusive to striker so cooldowns meant to check that ability should not be effecting other classes if they don't want it to be spammed as a movement ability then the classes with blink and shadestep would make sense to have this as well. however sunsingers, stormcallers(if we don't consider ionic blink) and gunslinger have NO movement abilities (I'm not adding the other titan classes because if their exotic chest the recently got) putting them at a disadvantage against the other classes. so trying to argue that its fair to put a class in a disadvantage when movement in this game is so vital is illogical.

  • normally I can play devils advocate very well but on this topic I can not see a logical reason to needlessly hinder those classes by that much more when they are already at a major disadvantage.
