Since Havel of Rock and Dragonslayer Ornstein are already in the thread, I guess I'll continue the Gwyn Knight theme.
Deep within the Bloodwrath a churning emerges, one sinister and chilling... Out of it rises a lone figure, one in elegant armor, a long great sword at his hip, corrupted by swirling dark. A pup stands next to his left leg, shrouded in darkness. The two seem to emanate death, wrath, the horrors of the Abyss... For this was Knight Artorias, the Abysswalker, first Knight of Gwyn, nobleman, the one who braved the Darkwraiths and Abyss Manus himself, sacrifice his blade and armor to protect his companion, Sif.
He groans from his recent revival, taking in his surroundings, limping through the corridors with Sif at his side, a young husky pup as opposed to his larger form when he was tragically slain.

Loud thumps followed the footsteps, alongside the clanging of a Chime. They grew louder as they Approached. "Artorias..? Is that you?"
-
Shock would soon consume Artorias's face from under his helmet; he could have recognized that chime from across time and space. "It cannot be..." Sif barks wildly.

Edited by Obi-Emp Kenobi: 5/8/2016 4:18:59 AM"It is..I don't know what happened and why but this is no coincidence. I have some feeling dark beings are involved." The rock like Armor held a hand out. "I saw some being earlier, who saved me. He just told me to return to main quarters..yet I grow suspicous. of him."
-
The knight heard footsteps similar to his, the sound of armored boots walking towards him. In the uncertainty of the situation there was no way to tell if this was a friend or a foe.
-
Keen hearing allowed Artorias to hear these footsteps easily through the unsettling silence that encroached through the deep corridors of the Bloodwrath. He stood fearlessly diehards the sound, young Sif at his side, ready for battle.
-
The sound rounds a corner and stands face to face with the knight, and it's one similar to him. They both wore intricate steel armor, although this newcomer's was tainted black by darkness. Something most likely not pleasant to the warrior and his canine companion. The stranger didn't seem to have any weapons with him but he didn't seem worried about that. Instead he spoke bluntly. "So, another outsider washed into this mess here? I doubt you belong here either."
-
Edited by Veration: 5/8/2016 3:35:14 AMThe darkness that shrouded the armor of the newcomer did nothing but unsettle Artorias and Sif, as the noble Knight of Gwyn fingered the grip of his greatsword consumed in dark energy and the canine growled lowly, bearing fangs with foam falling from the corners of his maw. Artorias hesitantly begins to speak, in a sorrowful, low voice. "None of my kind belong, refugees of infinite dimensions. We seek and depart in evanescence, never in one place not another. We just attempt to find home in ill fashion."
-
Involuntarily to the response of the greatsword the man cracked his neck. He stood too confidently, almost like a threat. "Well I hate to break it to you but you're stuck here. Unless we find the guy who put us here and kill him again. "
-
Artorias soon realized that this man wasn't as harmful as he was boastful, and the only thing detrimental to himself would be to step over the pride of the man before him. He lowers his guard and so does Sif, him sighing greatly. "I suppose. Most places are better than this pestilent ship..." Artorias holds his gauntlet out, tailored of fine steel and leather around its hems, gesturing for a handshake. "I don't believe I've introduced myself. I am Knight Artorias of Gwyn's Royal Army, or at least a fragment of him. This is my canine companion, Sif."
-
"A knight huh? Although I've never heard of Gwyn before." He shakes the man's hand and lowers his guard as well. A mere show to appear stronger before a potential threat. "Akron. Any idea how you got here either?"
-
"Lord of Sunlight in our land. He let himself be devoured by the holy First Flame in our land, allowing the Age of Fire to extend another thousand years and crowing him the title Lord of Cinder." Artorias skulks, thinking back to the sacrifice of his lordship. "I truthfully don't know of how I came to be in this dank, vile place. Is it likewise for you?"
-
"Not a clue. But an age of fire? Is that the equivalent of a golden age for you?"
-
Artorias rears his head back to Akrom, nodding. "Yes, very much so. It's when technology, culture, religion flourishes. And we're gifted with the light of the Holy Sun, which is why we praise it."
-
"Your kind seems to benefit greatly from the light. I both envy and despise that." Akron crouches down to look at Sif. "Where did you find this one?"
-
His steel gauntlet bends to pet Sif across his thick white fur, Sif lapping. "A tradition in my land. A knight is known from birth, and he has his companion since then as well. Sif has been with me forever."
-
"A companion?" He removed his helmet and gazed into the empty sockets of the eyes. His face softened to longing as he looked at the wolf as well. "That's good. Comfort is hard to find these days. Your knighthood is so different than mine."
-
"We come from different worlds; but what is universal is that a knight's job is lonely, his journey is steep and strenuous. Not even the beautiful women or heroic serenades make seeing good men die around you worth it. I'm glad I have a companion, yes. Gives me more hope."
-
"Well it seems our paths will reach different ends then. But until destiny forks away, we can still be intertwined. Certainly you can spare the company of another can you?"
-
"Destiny is a powerful thing; and I can most certainly spare company. One of our trade can never have enough. Shall we get out of this dump?"
-
"Soon. I feel that our escape is also reliant in the hand of our foe as well. But he shall fall."
-
"I would only hope so, friend."
-
"Friend? You flatter me. I have yet to earn that trust. Have you had past experience with the darkness?"
-
"I have yet to earn that trust as well. But we both won't achieve it if we don't begin with companionship." He scoffs. "There is reason why I am called the Abysswalker. I have lived my life in the darkness, mastered it. I am the darkness."
-
"You are the darkness? Impressive, I merely adopted it. Although I think it's growing on me." Akron released a low laugh. The tone conveyed by it hinted at traces of madness. "But enough about me. What's the plan?"
-
Edited by Veration: 5/9/2016 1:33:05 AM"I wouldn't know the plan. In fact, I was hoping you knew. How about we search for pathways out of the hole?"
