Meanwhile, inside of the ship...
Ornstein is going mad.
Traveling deeper and deeper within the ship, he's not relatively sane anymore. Even as a dark spirit, summoned by some...thing, insanity and anger surges through him.
Blood-red light shines through his armor, as he moves deeper within the ship than before, waiting for the next demon, or spirit, or other monstrosities...
To be open, or to not be open. That is the question.
*Mortar forms behind you* Remember me? You don't look too hot

YOU...

Yes, ME

You reach a point of the ship where you'll leave reality as you know it, and enter the warp directly. You remember hearing somewhere that the ship occupies space in both realms, and that it has a consciousness of its own. You wonder what a place like that would be like... This section of the ship seems to be alive. Veins of black fluid run through the ferrocrete walls, spreading out like an insane spider web in all directions. As you walk by, black eyes open from the walls and regard you with interest. You are funneled into a large gate room. Before you is a portal of sorts, it stands hundreds of feet high, twice as wide as it is tall. The surface of the portal is shimmering and molten like a bronze pool of glowing oil. The surface writhes and boils like lava in a caldera, hissing and glowing. You briefly glimpse a giant face in the portal, it's expression inhuman and horrifying, eyes of madness open far too wide and mouth open in a silent scream, it fades before you can recognize it... But it looked awfully familiar. The portal stands open.

Ornstein remembers the same man with that face. How could he forget? That man was the reason that he tried to get out. Instead of running, however... He leaps into the portal.
aww shit
As you leap in, you feel a separation of body and mind, they split apart like oil unable to mix with water. For a brief second, you feel as if the mind should never be confined within the body - it feels liberating... Like the warp is your perfect home, your destiny. You feel like your entire life has been waiting for this moment of perfect clarity... But the sensation is short lived. You and your body enter a kaleidoscopic maelstrom of warp energy and pure emotion at beyond light speed. The maelstrom looks like a hurricane nebula of vibrant colors, violently swirling into an abyss of utter darkness. You watch your body break apart on a molecular level around you, scattering into the turbulent energy of the warp like ashes in a flaming vortex. Then nothing but darkness. An indescribable amount of time passes and you wake up on the other side, whole with your body. The sense of dislocation is staggering. Before you is a steep staircase of black marble that leads thousands of feet down into some sort of crypt. The stairs are lit by black iron braziers on either side, pale green flames produce an eerie color as you look down and down and down. The braziers are symmetrically spaced at intervals of about 15 meters, leaving the giant staircase dimly lit. Your vision is a crisp, yet grainy color as this dimension follows different laws of physics... But to say that laws exist in the warp would be a stretch. You're seeing what the Bloodwrath wants to see... What it needs you to see.

I'm not forgetting that anytime soon... ~Ornstein moves ahead, unsheathing his spear~
give me more content in your posts please. I wrote a book and I expect more than a sentence if you want my full attention. I'll make it worth your while, just take the initiative and run with it. You can create sections up ahead too, I'm making it all up as I go. If you'd do the same it could get really interesting and get the attention of others. While you're writing, think about what it looks like, feels like, sounds like, include sensory detail so you're readers can see what you're describing in your head. Or do you prefer short posts? I prefer detail lol I'm going to jack your character to show you what I mean, don't worry it's temporary.
As you descend down the stairs, a gusty breeze picks up dust and a fine layer of black sand around you, spinning it around haphazardly and forming random shapes. It appears to briefly form that same face you saw in the portal previously, or are you just seeing things? You continue for quite some time before reaching the half way point.. But you believe you can see the bottom. The chamber is large like some great canyon. You see half buried tomb stones and larger memorial crypts, they're covered by great dunes of black sands. You see the top of a door frame, sand blocking the door and obscuring what lies behind. As you get lower and lower, the air gets hotter and hotter.. And this place doesn't look anything like what should be in a starship.
-
Sorry, I'll put it...moar.
Trying to desperately ignore the grotesque shapes, Ornstein trudges throughout the strange, demonic area. He looks at one of the tombstones, a crooked one made out of some type of black stone, then shakes his head. He sighs and turns away from the stone, trying to get the man's face out of his head... At least, until he heard something else in the room.
its all good lol, I just want a better picture of your character and your writing style. I like where this is going.
You see a plume of sand shoots up into the air roughly a hundred meters in front of you. You realize that something is underneath all this sand. Another plume erupts behind you and to the side - you've disturbed something(s). The movement beneath your feet displaces sand, and lowers the great height of it piled around the door frame. You're now able to hear howling wind, almost sounding as if that area is outside... This definitely doesn't belong in a starship. The door frame is clearing rapidly, perhaps you could run to it before whatever is buried beneath this sand eats you alive.
