There's really not much to grab on a dude's chest, even if they have man tits (which I doubt any sane person would want to grab).

  • So, because you don't look at men's chest sexually you think that men are going to do the same if women walk around with no bra? It wouldn't really help with the whole "objectifying" thing since it is natural for men to find female breasts attractive (unless gay).

  • Um, no, it's isn't natural. Breasts aren't inherently sexual. They're sacks of fat for feeding babies. They have no sexual purpose whatsoever. They're only sexualized because of social conditioning. Women in Africa are topless all the time and aren't sexualized because those people aren't socially conditioned to sexualize breasts. And I don't even have to be topless for men to objectify me. I can be wearing a -blam!-ing parka and men will still make gross comments. It's a culture of male dominance and entitlement, it has nothing to do with how we're dressed.

  • That's factually incorrect. Breasts are classified as secondary sex characteristics. What are secondary sex characteristics?
Secondary sex characteristics are features that appear at sexual maturity in animals and during puberty in humans, especially the sexually dimorphic phenotypic traits that distinguish the sexes of a species, but that, unlike the sex organs, are not directly part of the reproductive system. They are believed to be the product of sexual selection for traits which display fitness, giving an individual an advantage over its rivals in courtship and aggressive interactions. They are distinguished from the primary sex characteristics — the sex organs — which are directly necessary for sexual reproduction to occur.
While not inherently needed for sexual reproduction, they act as an attractive force for the opposite sex. But hey, what am I doing? Responding to a feminist with facts? Everybody knows that's their worst fear.

  • In parts of Africa it is part of the adopted culture for women to be topless. It is normal there. I can assure you that the moment women here start walking around topless, you will have a problem. Do you really expect the people of America to just all of a sudden not find naked breasts attractive? Women will still looked at sexually by men, especially if they aren't wearing a top. You are correct that breasts are simply sacks of fat, meant for nourishment, but I can guarantee that that fact will not change the way men look at them. There are some very slimy people out there who will take advantage of you being topless. I don't believe that it would be a good idea to try to change the thought patterns of an entire culture on the basis of, "Because I said so". I just can't see this idea playing out well in the real world.

  • So you're basically admitting that a lot of men are creeps who sexualize and objectify women inappropriately. This is one of feminism's goals. Education. Educating people to create a culture where women (and men) are free from sexualization and objectification without consent.

  • No, feminism's goal is domination and suppression. Then, after achieving that by labeling everything evil, they go to superiority, gendercide (genocide with genders) and oppression Remember the male concentration camp?

  • Why did you put men in parentheses? Do you think they aren't deserving to stand without parentheses? Sexist, racist, men hating, fish murdering, toe munching, magicarp rejecting, spongebob licking bottom feeder.

  • I think most men are educated. Some assholes just don't care. Stop overgeneralizing and playing the victim just because a few guys trolled you in your life.

  • Yes, it's true that men look at women sexually. It is also true that women look at men sexually. Some people are worse than others about this, but everyone does it. You can't pretend that you haven't "objectified" someone before. It is impossible to build a culture in which men and women are perfectly equivalent. There will always be people from both sides that will try to assert sexual dominance. This sort of ideology could never work. Returning to my previous statement, yes, I did say that some men are very slimy, but walking around in your underwear will only contribute to the problem. It will not solve anything. It will not help women to become equivalent to men by taking of their bras. It will do nothing for the betterment of society. This whole idea that women should be equal, in every aspect to men, is really just becoming a movement to turn women into men. It's as if you think that if you don't dress and behave the same way, then they aren't equal. Which is why I don't support this idea. The way I see it, if my wife was seen topless by a bunch of random dudes that I don't even know, I myself would feel somewhat violated that a bunch of creeps (we both know they're out there), were staring at my wife's breasts. Once again, I simply don't believe this would work the way you think.

  • There was no "victim blaming". I'm afraid you are mistaken. If you choose not to read, I cannot make you. However, if one if the main goals of feminism is education, I believe you are missing out on an opportunity. You cannot change anything without first seeing into the eyes of the people you are changing.

Telling women not to walk around in our underwear if we don't want to be sexualized is victim blaming. It's the same as asking a woman what she was wearing after she's been r@ped. Rather than telling women to cover up, teach men not to be -blam!-ing creeps. I'm done with this conversation.

  • Why don't you ever comment on the FACT that women sexualize men JUST AS MUCH AS MEN DK TO WOMEN. Think about it there are movies like magic mike. How many times do make characters in video games not have abs? What about in marvel movies. Thor is shirtless in every movie he's in. So why don't you comment on this? Oh that's right because that would completely disprove your whole women are victims.
