I don't play crucible but I do play the Iron Banner and I believe that's where I got mine. I like it myself since I'm a big AR guy.

Now I'm not 100% certain but I don't think you can get normal legendary drops from the Iron Banner

You could be right. I might have got it doing some daily crucible for marks and got lucky. Very lucky seeing I don't play it much. (It's also how I got my g-horn in year one. Only played it a few times and came in like second or third to last place. I could feel the flames from other players through the tv. Was a bit uncomfortable so I left).
