Buff All Weapons or Nerf All Weapons?

Bungie should figure out a way to buff all weapons that aren't currently viable to bring all guns into the same playing field

Bungie should continue their system of nerfs and buffs (This would change nothing, allowing the current meta status of different weapons to continue while others get left behind)

Bungie should take a good look at every gun and their statistics, and based on that either nerf them or buff them to give every gun equal footing.

Option one would probably, while indeed making some guns more powerful, also raise the power of the already meta weapons, resulting in a rather similar situation to why we're seeing now. Option two would, well, be the same crap we're dealing with right now, where we all complain on the forums, Bungie changes something, and we whine about that. Option three would take a good deal longer, as it would require Bungie to really examine all the weapons in their current PVP state and buff or nerf them based on whether they are more or less powerful then their counterparts.

  • Don't think they should ever nerf anything. Current stats should be the base and then buff weaker weapons to compete with current OP weapons, plus add new weapons. This gives us a foundation and also provides comfort in the fact that if you ever take a break, you don't have to Google what Bungie did wrong before playing. I HATE when you invest time into a weapon just to have Bungie make it unusable shortly after. Wish they would go ahead and release this info. for Curse of Osiris.
