A Halo is fragile, you're correct there, but where's the Death Star hitting exactly?
The Ark is gigantic, the one we saw in Halo 3 is it's Lesser, according to what I know.
Requiem surely has enough hull strength to refract some of the damage before taking a scar on it's outermost shell, along with the shields. It's a Warrior-Servant world after all.
