Ok. So launching a craft into space and hoping it hits something suitable is probably the worst idea ever. Space is extremely empty.
Also what AI? Our current AI can at most learn hiw to play games and be corrupted by teenagers on the internet. It is in no way capable to raising babies.

No one can guarantee it'll ever find anything, but it MIGHT!?!?! Remember its all computers, it can take it's time, what's a couple billion years to a computer?
