Those are needed for a living planet. Not human life, two very different things. A living planet get support life, human life is a lot trickier. But basically these requirements play off of each other. For a global magnetic field, you need moving liquid under the surface (like we have in the outer core). With moving liquid under the surface, this then allows for plate tectonics. Plate tectonics allow for volcanism. A global magnetic field will protect from radiation from Sun. Volcanism forms an atmosphere with heavier elements that would otherwise be trapped under the surface, like oxygen. Plate tectonics assure that the volcanism will remain active, which will need to happen because the CO2 cycle will end up freezing the surface, and volcanism will heat it back up.
