    Well, mathematically, it only makes sense to us as of now that the universe was always existent. If it was always existent, then it could never have been created, therefor it couldn't have came from something. I understand that's a confusing idea, but that's because humans are naturally inclined to think in terms of cause and effect, and we have a very hard time imagining infinity.
