Haha i'm in Aus so i just travel out to some offshore island and not a single bit of light polution :) even refractor telescopes work well. Muhuhaha lots of cool stuff in the southern skys, you jelly?

  • No, because that gives me all the reason to do some southern hemisphere traveling in the future to see it for myself! But yea, light pollution is bad up here. You have pick and choose locations carefully or else your just wasting your time. Though, I've gotten considerably better results going just a few hours north, so it's manageable.

    :D I'd realy like to see the stars in the great nebula in Orion, or those 6 stars all spinning around eachother in Gemini whats it called? Castello or someshit Plax.. idk.

  • Pleiades? And yes, Orion is my favorite because of Betelgeuse. I wish I could be alive to see it blow up in the future, that'll be quite the sight.
